3. DETENTION

A/N: Hey guys hope you liked that character introduction paragraph. Now we're going to skip to the present which is during Lindsey's and the twin's sixth year, or the year of the Tri-Wizard tournament. I don't want to focus on the Tri-Wizard too much because I feel like lots of fanfics focus on that the most and I want to do something new. My first chapter was during the present I wanted to start with something fun. This next chapter will continue from my first one if that makes sense. Hope you enjoy it! ­

Dean and I start walking to Defense Against the Dark Arts, our last class of the day.

We have this class with Professor Mad-Eyed Moody. He seems weird. He had us learn about the three unforgivable curses in our first class with him, it was disturbing.

Dean and I are about to go into class when I accidentally bump into a familiar face.

"Watch where you're going pig face." The girl says and laughs with her little posse.

I glare at the black-haired girl.

"Who are you calling pig face Kylie?" I say sternly.

"You bitch." She laughs again.

I roll my eyes and Dean and I walk into the classroom. We take our seats, which thankfully are right next to each other.

That bump into Kylie made me reminisce. We were best friends until the middle of our fourth year when claimed I stole her boyfriend.

~Flashback~

"YOU'RE DATING ADRIAN?" Kylie screamed in my face.

"Yes, what's so bad about that?" I ask confused.

"YOU KNOW I'VE LIKED HIM FOREVER!" she screams at me again.

"You told me you liked Oliver Wood! When was Adrian ever your interest?" I'm confused about her changed behavior.

"That was until he rejected me last night! Now I like Adrian!" she spits.

"You can't just change your mind after I start dating him!" I scream back.

"I do what I want! This is stupid! You're stupid! This friendship is over!" I can hear the anger in her voice.

"But-" I start but before I can finish my statement she slaps me straight across the face.

I bring my hand up to my burning cheek. Tears start to form in my eyes. Usually, I would return that anger, but Kylie was my best friend, it hurt physically and emotionally.

"Oh, are you gonna cry? Why don't you go cry to your Mom? Oh, wait you don't have one." She starts laughing and walking away.

After she says that, I start bawling my eyes out. I was bullied a lot growing up about not having a Mom, it hurt knowing my mom didn't love me enough to stay. She just abandoned my dad, which hurt the most.

"Lindsey! Are you okay?" Dean runs up to me and pulls me into a hug.

"Kylie...just told me we weren't friends anymore. Slapped me, and insulted the fact that I don't have a mom! How could she do this? All because I'm dating Adrian?" I cry out.

"She's a bad friend. You didn't do anything wrong Linds! I'm so sorry she doesn't deserve you!" Dean kisses my head and holds me tight.

~End of flashback~

"Is she still mad because you dated Pucey?" Dean asks taking me out of my thought.

"She's always been jealous of me. I can't understand why." I reply.
