That's My Baby

Part fourteen

Daniel knocks then opens the door before anyone has a chance to open it.

He grabs my hand and pulls me in with him.

Everyone turns and looks at us and I fake a smile. I don't want anyone knowing how uncomfortable I am here.

Corbyn- Hey! You guys made it just in time. Jack and his new girlfriend are just about to arrive. Hey, nice to see you again y/n. Daniel never stopped talking about you

Corbyn walks over to grab Daniels coat and smiles at me

Y/n- It's nice to see you all again.

Jonah- Can we take your coat, y/n?

I look at Daniel and he nods. I slowly start taking my coat off and Daniel sees I'm struggling so he helps me take it off.

I look and everyone's staring. Daniel tries to hand my coat to Corbyn but he's too busy staring at me to take it.

Zach- Um, what's going on?
Daniel and I laugh, I expected this reaction

Corbyn- Daniel, you know your girl is pregnant, right?

I laugh as Daniel takes my hand and leads me to the couch

Daniel- I know she is, how do you think it happened?

Y/n- Turns out condoms are only effective if you take them out of your purse

I say trying to lighten the mood, causing everyone to laugh

I sit on the couch and Daniel walks into the kitchen, followed by the rest of the boys. I can hear them talking, but can't make out what they're saying. I'm assuming it's not good.

As I'm sitting alone on the sofa, I hear the door open, so I turn to look and I see Jack walk in with Sam, hand in hand.

She gives me a sympathetic look and I look back towards the kitchen. Jack and Sam make their way over to me and sit beside me

Jack- Hey y/n, it's nice to see you again- Oh wow, congratulations

Y/n- Don't act like you didn't know
I say rolling my eyes looking towards Sam

Jack- Okay, she did tell me a few months ago but I didn't know it was Daniels until this morning

Sam- Jack!
She shouts smacking his arm

Y/n- So you did tell him?

Jack- Um, I'm going to go find the other boys, you two can talk

Jack quickly stands up and rushes out of the room. I don't blame him, I don't want to be here either.

Sam- Can you just talk to me? You can't get mad because I didn't get Jack involved. It's not his problem you're not on the pill!

Y/n- I never said it was his problem, I don't blame you for not telling me you were talking to HIM, it just would've been nice to know you were even talking to a guy. I thought we didn't keep secrets?

Sam- Just forget it. I thought you'd be happy for me. I thought we were friends.

I don't answer her. I don't know what to say.

Sam and I sat in silence until we hear the boys starting to argue. I slowly stand up, and make my way to the kitchen.

Jonah- You don't have time for a baby, we've got the new album to start working on

Jack- Hey! I have time for Lav, why can't Daniel have time for his baby?

Corbyn- She's a fan, she could spoil everything

Daniel- She's not just a fan, I really like her, you're not ruining this for me

Zach turns and sees me standing in the door way. I put my finger over my mouth to signal him to stay quiet, but he doesn't

Zach- Guys?

Jonah- We're just trying to look out for you and the band

Corbyn- She can't be around the group in case she leaks the new music or our phone numbers

Zach- Hey guys?

Jack- What about Sam? She was a fan too. Does that mean I can't keep her around?

Jonah- Sam's fine, don't worry

Daniel- Oh, so since y/n is pregnant, she can't be around? You're unbelievable

Zach- GUYS!

They all stop talking and Zach points to me. They all turn around and look in my direction.

Don't cry. God y/n, don't cry.

Y/n- I think I'm going to go. It was lovely seeing you guys again

I put on a smile and grab my coat. I start walk towards the door.

Daniel- Y/n, wait up, I'm coming with you.

Daniel grabs his jacket and grabs my hand. We make our way to the door when I hear Sam speak up.

Sam- Oh Daniel, congratulations on the baby boy by the way

She says and glares at me. Did she seriously just do that?

I look over at Daniel and he's got a huge smile on his face.

I quickly walk out the door and Daniel runs after me. We make it back down to his car and we both get in. He starts the car but he doesn't move. He just sits looking at his hands.

Daniel- I'm so sorry y/n, I really didn't think they'd react this way.

Y/n- No, I should be sorry. I didn't mean to cause an argument. They're your best friends, I don't want to come in between that.

Daniel- They're my friends, but you're family now, remember?
