We Met In September (Shuichi x Reader)

Shuichi x male! reader oneshot

I felt bad for all my readers who are male and are Shuichi simps because there aren't many shuichi x male reader stories on Wattpad.  I also momentarily ran out of pictures of Shuichi. ANYWAYS Y/N and Shuichi's relationship prior is that they're the classic childhood best friends. ALSO THIS IS A COLLAGE AU AND RANTARO AND KEEBO ARE THE READERS OTHER FRIENDS THAT Y/N AND SHUICHI MET IN COLLAGE ok now enjoy ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

~Y/N POV~ 

Today's the day.  I'm gonna confess my love to the love of my life, and best friend, Shuichi Saihara. Keebo sat down across form me while Rantaro sat down next to me. "Hey, (Y/N). You finally gonna confess to Saihara today?" Rantaro asked. I silently nodded, looking at the letter I prepared for him. "That's great! Though, it is weird. He's usually the first one here." Keebo commented.

We were waiting for Shuichi in the library. The four of us usually study together. Just then, Shuichi walked. My heart started beating and my face started to heat up. "Hey, don't panic, (Y/N)." Rantaro whispered to me. "Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late. One of out classmates asked me out." Shuichi explained, sitting down next to me. 'Crap!' I thought. 

I started to panic even more now. "Oh? Who was it?" Keebo asked, "That pretty blonde, Akamatsu." Shuichi explained. 'Now there's no way he'll accept a confession from me! Akamatsu is, like, the prettiest girl in our class! And she's so kind...' I thought. "I... I have to go to the bathroom!" I said, quite loud, before rushing out.

I did, in fact, run to the bathroom. Though instead of doing anything, I just cried. I played with my (H/C) hair as a distraction from the current state I was in. It didn't work. I just kept crying, and the more I cried, the more I panicked. 

My breathing intensified more and more. I lost track of time.  "(Y/N)? Are you okay?" Shuichi's voice traveled through my ears before my mine registered that he had found me. "Y-Yes. I-I'm f-fine!" I reassured, wiping my tears. "I don't think you are. You've been gone for almost 10 minutes." Shuichi said, concern filling his voice before he walked closer to me. I hid the letter as he knelt in front of me.

"What're you hiding?" He asked. I stayed quiet before handing him the letter. My body was staking and I was trembling. "Is this... for me?" He asked. I shakily nodded. He opened the letter and read it. "You... really feel that was about me?" He asked. I nodded again. 

~Shuichi POV~

Now I know why he was panicking so much. I hugged the other boy, letting the note fall to floor. "I like you too." I smiled at him. I swore I could see stars in his eyes as he hugged me back with the brightest smile I'd ever seen. "I love you! I love you so much, Shuichi!" He said, happily.

 I felt tears stain my jacket but I'm just glad they were happy tears. We pulled away from the hug and I gave him a light kiss on the nose, "Let's get back, now." I said, smiling down at him. He nodded and we went back to the library, holding hands. 

I hope you guys liked this little oneshot! I might come out with chapter 19 and 20 today. Key word might.
