{Alex POV}

Okayyyy... so we moved into our new house, which was... nice? Emery and I share a room, which is bigger than our last, so that's an upgrade. There is a spare room, so I'm assuming a guest room. Richard and Kimberley have the room across the hall from the guest room and ours is across from the bathroom. Other than that, downstairs there's the kitchen and a living room with a fireplace in it, and weird plant paintings everywhere.

And next door is the... weirdest family I've ever seen. I mean, the wife has an abnormally long neck, but I guess she has enough neck for her whole family. Her husband has this... habit of turning purple when he's mad, and their son... Let's not talk about him.

Sometimes I see a boy though... he's kinda small, and I always see him either cleaning or making breakfast or getting yelled at for something the son did. I'm assuming he's sort of their... butler? I'm not sure but I've been watching him for a couple of days.

{two hours later}

Okay so good news I guess... we got invited to a dinner party by the horse lady! Yay... Anyway, Emery and I decided that we would figure out who this mysterious kid is.

{Emery's POV}

Okay, so seeing as I actually go outside, I've seen this mystery boy, and I can tell you more about him. He has messy black hair that never seems to be tamed, his glasses are broken, I wonder why, and he has these emerald green, almond-shaped eyes. He's kinda small and looks malnourished. I wonder who could treat him so badly.

About the dinner party, we were told to wear our best outfits, which is interesting, because we don't have any. Turns out, they bought us outfits... yay. So, anyways, I got a glittery sapphire colored dress with some navy blue flats. Alex got a dark green tuxedo with a black bow tie and some new dress shoes.
