"I glow pink in the night in my room"
The song's words echoed through Saihara's head on loop. In recent times, the Phantom Thief had gone missing. This was quite the surprise to the detective- being that "thieves never take breaks," which had been words from said thief himself. With everything that had happened, Saihara believes it's possible for the thief to never return.
"I've been blossoming alone over you"
The thief's last heist had ended with Saihara getting shot in the arm. This, however, was not by the thief. An outside source had done this, not the leader. Said leader would never, DICE is strictly against violence. Yet, why disappear? There should have been no reason to do so.
"And I hear my heart breaking tonight"
Saihara had let the song play on loop, to weak to lift his arm to turn it off. The hospital room he stayed in was too quiet for his liking. In fact, Saihara is afraid of the quiet. He overthinks when he's alone. Yet, even with the background noise, he can't help but overthink.
"I hear my heart breaking tonight"
The thief. To many people, the thief had simply been a criminal. One who steals things for the sake of attention. For the sake for bother. Yet, to the detective, it was quite different. The thief didn't mean to gather attention, that's just how it worked out. The thief most likely had been an orphan, with stealing being the only think he knew how to do.
"Do you hear it too?"
Does the thief think about Saihara the way Saihara thinks about the thief?
