You applied to work at the BAU 6 months ago and heard that Agent hotchers team was full but 1 week ago you found out they needed you to fill a spot because one of there agents was transferring. You were exited to start working and that night you went to bed early and set your alarm for 5 am exactly.
Normally the sound of your annoying alarm waking you up would annoy you but today you shot out of bed turned your alarm off and took a shower. After you finished drying your hair you went to your closet you picked out high waisted black jeans and a white sweater with black ankle boots. You stopped at a local coffee shop and got coffee and a muffin since you had 20 minutes to kill you sat down and ate. Once you got there you stepped into the elevator and tried to shake away your nerves It's just a job, but it was your dream job. As you got out of the elevator you bumped into someone "Oh my god I'm so sorry" you apologized and bent down to grab your box that had your stuff in it. "Hey it's all good" a deep voice said and you looked back up "I'm Derek Morgan he reached out his hand and you sook it "I'm Y/n" you smiled "Hey your the new agent joining the team right?" He asked. "That I am" you laughed "Where is agent Hotchners office" you asked "right that way" he pointed "Thank you so much" you smiled. The office door was open so you kinda just stood there for a minute "Hi come in" you walked in and shook his hand. "Well Y/n I have no worries about you joining this team and with your undercover work I think you'll be a great fit. He gave you a half smile "I'll introduce you to the team in 10" "Ok thank you sir" you nodded before heading to your empty desk. You heard hotch's voice and turned your head "We have a case" and everyone piled into the conference room. "This is agent Y/l/n she'll be joining the team" Hotch sat down. "Hi y/n I'm Emily prentiss" a smile was across her face and she shook your hand "David Rossi" another man said and you shook his hand to. "And we have already met" Morgan smiled and you laughed "that we have" you knew you would be friends. "And this is Spencer Reid our genius". Hotch said you stuck out your hand and he shook his head germs. You sat down and a few seconds later a nice woman walked in with bouncy curls in her hair "oh my gosh hi you most be the new agent I'm Penelope Garcia" she smiled and went to shake her hand "I'm more of a hugger" she rushed over and gave you a hug and you hugged her back. "Garcia is are technical analyst" Hotch added "Ok we can catch up later Garcia the case" he went back to a stirn tone. "Right sorry so 2 weeks ago 2 woman were killed and dumped in alleyways" she looked at the screen but quickly looked away. "And yesterday another 3 woman were killed and dumped in another alley 3 miles away" she explained. "Are we sure the crimes are connected" Emily asked "They were all shot four times and it was from the same gun" she continued.
Skipping conversation
"Ok wheels up in 30" Hotch nodded and everyone left the conference room. "Y/n do you have a go bag?" Hotch asked "Yep I'm prepared" you smiled and walked to your desk picking up your go bag.
On the plane
You sat next to Morgan across from Hotch and Rossi, Emily sat next to Reid in the seats in-front of you. You weren't sure why or what it was but Reid was a little hostile well at least towards you. You understood why he didn't want to shake hands but every time you started talking about the case he would cut you off. Honestly it annoyed you but you just ignored it. "Ok Emily and Morgan head to the crime scene, me and Rossi will talk to the families and Y/n and Reid go to the police station and set up" he turned his head to look at you and gave him a smile but he quickly turned his eyes back to his book, Hostile. Once you landed and everyone headed to there vehicles you climbed into the passenger side and Reid started driving. "Ok so I feel like there's some tension between us and I'm sorry if did something to make you mad but this is my first day and I want to make a good impression" you broke the silence "You didn't do anything" he replied keeping his eyes on the road. "Well clearly something is-" "Look y/n I have no problem with you except from the fact you think you can come in and do her job better than her" he cuts you off. "What are you talking about" at this point you were just confused "Jj- Agent jareau the agent your replacing she worked here for 10 years and if you think you can come in and do her job better than her-". "Look I'm not trying to take her place and I don't expect to be better that her I'm sorry if you feel like I am" you apologized you didn't want to have problems with anyone on the team including him. "God stop being such a kiss ass" his tone getting angrier you scoffed "excuse me" you looked over at him. "I don't like you and I don't like the fact your on this team some kiss ass apology isn't gonna change that" he looked over at you before looking back at the road. "Oh trust me Reid I'm not trying to make you like me but unlike you I'm not gonna be childish and compromise my spot on this team so how about you just put on your big boy pants and suck it up Agent Jareau moved up in the FBI and chose to leave so if your gonna be pissed at someone be pissed at her" you snapped back in a biting tone. He just rolled his eyes and stayed quiet the rest of the ride once you got there he continued to interrupt you every step of the way in front of everyone. You just ignored him you didn't wanna look unprofessional around the team.
Skipping over the case
Once you got back to Quantico you were exhausted mentally and physically you guys were away for 4 days and you probably got 15 hours of sleep. "Good night" you waved at everyone before heading out and driving home once you got there you quickly undressed and out on a big flannel shirt and climbed into bed. You were quickly fading off but for some reason your mind kept going to Reid and the way he bit his lip when he was thinking stop it y/n and you closed your eyes drifting to sleep.
