"KARASUNOOOO FIGHT" Atsumu heard. He looked over and saw the team yell and run to their spots on the court.
"Did you see that Atsu-" Osamu looked over to see Atsumu's eyes glued to Karasuno's number 10. He sighed. Not even the roar of the crowd got Atsumu's attention. "Oi," he poked Atsumu's shoulder. "Ya just missed an epic set from Akaashi."
"Huh?" Atsumu turned his head. His mind was obviously not there. His eyes were unfocused. He looked at Osamu, then at the game. He seemed to realize where he was and widened his eyes. "Samu-" he pouted, his eyes tearing up, "Ya didn't smack me this time." He started balling. Kita noticed the situation and tried to get Atsumu to calm down.
"Hush hush, people are going to start judging you," Kita whispered. "You don't want that. You know how harsh our 'cheer' group is." Atsumu laughed softly.
"Yeah." He said with a weak smile, wiping away tears.
"Look look look!" Osamu pointed at the match in front of them.
Atsumu looked at the match but didn't register anything he saw. His mind was blank. Well not blank, but with too many thoughts and not being able to focus on any of them, it felt blank. He hated this feeling. He had felt it before only once.
Sometime before having a crush on Hinata, or falling in love as Osamu and Kita would say, Atsumu had been in a relationship. Atsumu had this tough sarcastic outer shell to protect his emotional soft inside. But the person who had broken through his shell crushed him.
{flash back to a bit more than half a year ago}
Walking to school was probably Atsumu's favorite part of the day. He loved the chilly air in the fall and the calm breezes in the spring. He loved walking by his favorite tree. It had a branch that resembled a bird. That day Atsumu saw a squirrel cross the street and climb up the tree. Atsumu stopped to watch what it would do, and the squirrel did the same. They stood there, watching each other for a couple minutes. The cool wind ruffled Atsumu's hair, giving a couple leaves some lift before landing softly. Atsumu checked his watch and gasped. He was late to pick up his boyfriend.
"Argh, he's going to be so upset!" Atsumu exclaimed.
The squirrel seemed to tilt its head, then disappear into a hole in the tree. Atsumu started running towards the spot where he always met up with his boyfriend. Before that day, Yumma would always wait for him at the corner where they shared their first kiss. Sure he'd be a little annoyed if Atsumu showed up late, but he'd always wait, and they would take each other's hand as they walked to school.
Though today, Yumma was nowhere to be seen. Atsumu stopped at the corner then he looked around. He waited a couple minutes and checked his phone. There were no texts from him either.
Atsumu was so confused. He walked to the Konodo house and knocked. Yumma's mom answered.
"Hello, Mrs. Konodo. Is Yumma coming to school today?" Atsumu asked her.
"Yeah, he left already." She replied with a concerned smile.
"Oh. Well, he's probably at school now," Atsumu said. "Bye Mrs. Konodo!"
"Goodbye Miya!" she said as she closed the door.
Atsumu walked to school feeling uneasy. He checked his phone. Still no texts.
He decided to text Osamu.
A: yumma didn't wait for me today:(
Onigiri obsessed bro: What??
A: do ya see him there?
Onigiri obsessed bro: I'm not at school yet. I'll text ya if I see Konodo though. Ya better hurry up so you're not late.

FanficThen Atsumu heard a laugh. A laugh so sweet, so light, so bright. His heart was pounding in his chest, threatening to drown out the sound of this laugh. He looked around, to see where it was coming from. It was coming from number 10. "C'mon Hinata...
