Keep on Singing

Mel walks downstairs to eat dinner. As soon as she reaches the bottom of the stairs and see Joe standing their watching her, her entire face turns bright red. She quickly looks away trying to hide her blush. She doesn't know how she feels and can't let him know that she knows about the box.

Joe:
"Mel what's wrong?"

Mel:
"Nothing, I'm just behind on some city work."

Joe:
"How about some wine. Calm your nerves and help you forget about George."

Mel:
"You know me so well!"

He passes her a glass of red wine. She starts to say something but is cut off by Ryder and Lennox descending down the stairs.

Dammit she thinks, I finally had the courage to talk to him about the box.

Lennox looks at her aunt and instantly knows something is up, her cheeks still pink and a frown plastered on her face.

Lennox:
"What's wrong Aunt Mel?"

Joe turns to Mel, he hadn't noticed something was wrong.

Mel:
(Muttering)
"I'm fine!"

She takes a sip of wine. It is going to be a long night.
