Lyfe p.o.v:

Today was a weird and eventful day, but nonetheless it was amazing. Scratching the fact that there was coffee spilled on one of my favorite shirts, and the fact that I dragged down the street by a man(.a gorgeous one on that note.)(okay maybe this last one wasn't so bad.

Chris had persuaded me go to out with him tommorow night. I mean not that it took much persuading I was was silly putty in his hands the minute his fine ass walked through the door.

Doing a little visual recap of today's events in my head, I stepped off the elevator and into my shared apartment, hoping that had at least started cooking.

As soon as I walked through the door I kicked off my shoes, and took my purse off my shoulder and dropped it by the door. I was greeted with two loud and joyful "hey's" as I approached the kitchen. I would've responded by the smell of Italian food (my favorite) filled my nose.

"Food smells good" I said hungrily.

"It's almost ready fatty." Junior joked. I giggled and rolled my eyes, and started walking to my bedroom when I heard a loud smack. I whipped my head looking to see if something dropped or if Brenda had walked into something as usual. But instead I see Junior rubbing his arm.

"You idiot she finds out she has cancer yesterday and already your insulting her. what the fuck!"  Brenda had whisper yelled. Assuming she didn't want me to hear her little comment I returned to walking towards my room, but I could help but feel a little strange and offended. I had already told them I didnt want to be treated differently, and here she is acting strange. I was used to Juniors rude remarks, hell I, loved them. They make me feel as if me and him had a brother and sister bond.

I took off my clothes and hopped into the shower to clean off before dinner. Once out I chnaged into some comfy sweats and put my hair into a messy bun. I started to lay down on my bed when I heard Brenda call me for dinner. I walked into our fairly large dining room and sat down next to an already seated Junior. Waiting for Brenda to bring the food out of the kitchen I tried to start conversation with Junior.

"So loser, how was you- Junior what the hell. why are you wearing my shirt, I swear you're gonna strech all my shit out."  I yelled at him. I swear he always trys to squeeze his sexy tall muscular body into my clothes.(Nfs, if Junior didn't swing for the other team, I would've  jumped his bones had had his kids already.)

"Listen, don't yell at me I was in your room, and I saw the shirt on your floor. I though it was cute and decided to put it on. I mean its a mens button up anyways," He replyed nochantlty

"Why were you in my room in the first -" I stopped midsentence because Brenda came into the room with the mouth watering food. We all fixed our plates, mines with a fairly larger portion than the rest, and ate in scilence until Brenda asked how our day went.

"Well... " I started off. "I met somebody" I giggled.

" Damn Cancer one day and a boyfriend the next, girl you sure do move fast." Junior joked, I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. I figured if I tried to lighten up the whole cancer situation with some laughs, I wouldn't be so sad.

"Junior are you serious? Like how fucking rude can you get, thats not a laughing matter! She has cancer for god sake and your making jokes about it as if it's funny. God how insen-" I cut Brenda off.

"Brenda seriously it's okay, I though it was funny, it wasn't that serious." I said trying to stop her from yelling at Junior.

" You know what Lyfe, go ahead and take this lightly, you can make jokes about it as much as you want it won't make matters easier. You have cancer for God sake, and your making it into a comedy." Brenda ranted, she got up and took her plate into the kitchen and stormed into her room.

"Well someone's pmsing." Junior said while clearing his plate. I followed his actions. And went in my room to take a nap, Brenda stressed me out.

* A Few hours later*

A soft knock on my door woke me up from what was supposed to be a short nap. I yelled a  "come in" expecting Junior to cuddle with me for a few minute like he usually does around 10, but instead I got a frowning Brenda.

She came and plopped down on my bed and got under the covers.

"Look" she started. " I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off as a bitch at dinner. I just thought you would still be as sensative as I was about your new findings of cancer. But instead I see you laughing and make jokes with Junior about it. And I know it was wrong of me to be yellling at you guys like that, but i'm just scared. I don't wanna lose you Lyfe. You're my best friend, my grandma just died from cancer and here you are following in her path." She vented, and I understood where she was coming from. If I had lost a person from a incurable disease, and I found out my bestfriend was dying from it too, I would be devastated.

"Brenda, I get it. And don't get me wrong I'm very upset. I have stage four breast cancer four crying outloud. And on top of that I only have a few months to live, but i'm not about to spend those few months moping around..."

I got up and went into my dresser and pulled out a zip lock baggie containing medical marijuana, and wiggled it in the air.

"I'm about to light up, my doctor says I should to smoke atleast once day so I won't feel the pain, and to stop the nausua that's gonna start soon, you wanna smoke with me?"

Brenda chuckled w nodding a yes. As I started to roll up I heard her speak.

"So tell me about this guy you met."
