The Seeker & the Vehicon

Chapter Three

{ Way Too Close }

Error was fixing a broken holoscreen. Nothing too difficult, just needed to take out old wires and replace them with new ones.

Then suddenly, someone grabs his right leg and yanks him out, scaring the poor little vehicon.

But when he looked up and sees who pulled him, his lime green optics widen in fear.

"L-L-Lord Megatron! Can I h-help you with something?" Error asked, nervous.

"As a matter of fact, you can." Megatron replied, letting go of Error's leg. "I have a task for you. Since you are skilled mechanic and tech engineer, I need you to go out with the mining team and search for more Energon."

"M-me!? Go outside?!" Error said, scared. "Are you sure, my liege?"

"Oh I'm very serious.. you have been spending too much time on the holoscreens, even those that didn't need any fixing. And I've noticed you were finding any technology related excuse to avoid leaving the ship. Now it's time you get your servos dirty." said Megatron.

"But~" Before Error could say something, Megatron cuts him off.

"Silence!" Megatron said aggressively. "You will do as I say. Or else I will rip out your spark!"

The little vehicon nodded and quickly runs away from Megatron, going to do what he was ordered to do.

A few hours go by ever since Error stepped outside the ship. So far, it wasn't bad. He helped the vehicon miners locate, dig, and harvest Energon crystals safely. The last thing he wanted was for the crystals to explode, they are raw Energon after all.

But then, he noticed a familiar silver seeker standing up top on the stone ledge, watching all the vehicons work.

Error couldn't help but stare at Starscream.

"So handsome... Oh I wish I could kiss him again." Error thought.

Suddenly, the little vehicon was snapped out of his daydream when Starscream calls out to him.

"You there! Fetch me a sample!" Starscream ordered.

"Yes, Commander Starscream!" said Error.

Error quickly rushed over to the already harvested liquid Energon and pours it into a small glass cube. Then he took the lifter-elevator to reach the top stone ledge. But before he was going to hand over the energon drink, Megatron appears.

"Starscream!" Megatron said in a dark serious tone. "Now that I've returned, I will issue the commands."

"I... I understand, Lord Megatron." Starscream said sheepishly. "Then as your humble servant, shall I ready the space bridge? To bring forth the Decepticon army you have surely gathered during your three years in space."

"Here's your drink, Commander." said Error.

"Ah, about time." said Starscream, accepting the drink.

Megatron ensures Starscream that the rest of the Decepticon army will arrive one day. However, he found a solution that'll strengthen their number quicker. Dark Energon, aka the Blood of Unicron.

"Unicron the Destroyer?!" Starscream said, surprised, "They say his blood is the anti-spark."

"Plucked from comic shores. Gaze upon, dark energon." said Megatron.
