"Mom! Dad! Hurry and get down here or I'm going to miss my flight!" I yell at my mom while I wait outside by the car. I see my mom and dad stumble through the door trying carrying out the last bit of luggage I have and I let out a little giggle.

I love my parents. They are some of the most supportive parents ever and I am so glad they let me do this. It did take awhile to convince them to let me go overseas for school, but I was finally able to persuade them when I said I would face time them every night before I go to bed.  It's always been a dream to be able to go overseas and experience a different school life, but I never imagined I would be able to go to my dream country to study abroad!

"I am so excited! Hurry hurry! Is Shane coming?"

"Yes he is coming, I'll go get him," my father says as he starts to go back into the house. As he opens the door, he lets my two dogs out, Juno and Lily, so I can say bye to them before I leave.

Juno being the nut she is came sprinting up to be almost knocking me over. I laugh as I sit on the ground to pet my dogs. A few tears start to swell in my eyes as I pet Juno and Lily walks over to me. "I'm going to miss y'all crazy girls," I let out a small giggle. "Y'all behave please, I'm looking at you Juno." Juno just comes up to me and licks my cheek and I sigh. I give my dogs one last kiss on their heads and I let them back inside. I see my brother and my dad come out and I give them a smile as we head to the car.

The car ride to the airport was a little more quiet than usual. I could tell my parents are holding back their tears and thoughts while my brother was just on his phone. I let out a sigh as I look out the window as this would be the last time I would see this scenery that I am used to for awhile.

We arrive at the airport and I see a group of my friends with signs and I let out a small gasp in excitement. My dad pulls to the side and I sprint out of the car to my group of friends and I engulf then in a big hug. "Oh you guys. I can't believe you came all the way to the airport just to say bye!" I look at them with a smile. I have known some of these people since 4th grade and having to say bye for 2 years is so hard.

"You know we would never miss the opportunity to say bye to you. We are going to miss you so much," Lucy says as everyone else nods their heads in agreement. I keep talking to my friends as my parents and brother get my luggage out of the car. "Y/N, please come get your luggage. We need to head inside so we can get you through security with plenty of time to find your terminal!" I nod my head and I go and grab my luggage.

My whole group heads inside and my friends, brother and I just kind of stand around chatting while my parents go and check me in. After my parents go and check me into my flight, we go and get my luggage checked and I grab my carry on bags and we head to security. I start to get a little upset because no one can go with me past security so I take a big breath and walk to security.

We get to security and I set my luggage down. I turn around to see my parents crying and some of my friends. "Oh you guys stop. You are going to make me cry." I say with a little laugh as I myself try to hold back tears. I go up to my friends first and I give them all individual hugs while they and myself cry. Some of my friends gave me letters to read while I'm on the plane and little gifts so I put them in my carry on to read on the plane. I give them all one last big group hug and I smile at them. "Y'all don't have too much fun without me..I'm being serious!" I say with a stern look but end up laughing because I can't keep a straight face with my friends.
