The Ace (Bokuto x The Reader)

The First Day

I sigh as I get out of bed and do a quick stretch to wake myself up. I look at my alarm clock to see that it says it is 6:00 in the morning and I groan as I plop down onto the bed again. I let out a big sigh into my pillow not wanting to get up. I am for sure not a morning person and getting up early is not what I want to do, but I needed to get to my new school a few minutes early so I can talk to the principal and be showed around the school.

After about 10 minutes, I throw my legs over the side of the bed to stand up. I yawn as I start walking towards the shower. I am turning on the shower as I get out of my pajamas and I stare at myself in the mirror and giggle a bit. I must have slept really good to have this much bed head. I then proceed to turn on my bluetooth speaker to shower with some morning jams to wake myself up. My new favorite song, "Lost in Paradise," comes on and I dance my way into the cold shower. I tense up as the cold water hits my skin but my body starts to slowly come alive. I stand under the shower head and allow the cold water to hit my face so it can wake my heavy, sleepy eyes. I then pump some of my Pantene shampoo into my hands and I start to massage the shampoo into my hair as I dance around a bit singing along to the song. 

After a 20 minute dance session while showering, I check the time and realize it is already 6:45. I need to be at Karasuno around 7:30 and it will take me 10 minutes to walk there so I plan in my head what I will need to do before hand. I bring my speaker into my room still jamming to my playlist and I go to put on my undergarments and then my school uniform. Afterwards I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and apply a little bit of make up. I look at the time to see that it is 7 o'clock. I decide to blow dry my hair and put product in my hair to make myself look more presentable.

 After about 15 minutes, I run to my room to grab my bag and I run to the kitchen to grab an apple and a water bottle as my breakfast to go. Before I leave, I spray my favorite perfume (mine is sweater weather from b&bw☺️) and I examined myself in the mirror. I just look at myself and sigh. I know I'm not the prettiest girl, I would say I'm quite average. I was tall for a girl and a little on the thicker side. The only thing I liked about myself were my crystal blue eyes and my long blonde hair. (Or you can make it sound more like yourself! ☺️) I scuff a little at the sight of my uniform. I never really did like uniforms and I was glad I didn't have to wear them back at home, but I sucked it up since I was so excited to be here.

I got to Karasuno around 7:32. A little later than what I wanted but it's okay. I didn't know where to go so I just kind of walked around a bit. As I was walking, I heard a little bit of arguing around the side of the building and I decided to go and investigate the bickering. I peeked around the corner and I see a short, carrot top boy and a tall, dark haired boy arguing with each other. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I let out a small giggle. I must've giggled too loud because the tall, dark haired boy looked over at me and I could feel his dark eyes just piercing into me. I immediately decided to turn around to walk around some more.

After what seemed like 5 minutes, I walked through the entrance to find the office area. I greeted the nice lady and she gave me my schedule. She told me to follow her and I followed her around the corner. Around the corner stood a boy who was about my height. He has messy silver hair and a beauty mark under his left eye and he greeted you with the biggest and cutest smile ever.

   "Hi! My name is Kōshi Sugawara, but you can call me Suga. I will be giving you a tour around the school today!" He says with a bright smile. His smile is just so sweet that you give him one back. "Hi Suga, I'm (Y/N). Thank you so much for giving me a tour," I say with a big smile. He motions for me to follow him and I wave at the nice lady and I follow Suga.

Me and Suga seemed to get along just fine. He kept asking me questions about America and where I was from and all my answers seemed to interest him. "Are you going to do any clubs while you are here?" I stopped and I thought for a moment. "Well, I did play volleyball up until last month but I don't think I want to play volleyball here. I haven't quite decided since I am debating about joining the band. Music is a big passion of mine and I ADORE band so I'm thinking about joining the band. But, I may go check out the volleyball team as well! Do you do any clubs?" Suga looked at me and smiled, "I do actually. I play volleyball for the school. I am a setter for the team. I used to be THE setter for Karasuno but we got this prodigy first year and he took my spot. I don't mind too much though." He says with a small smile. "Oh wow! Okay, maybe you can introduce me to the girls volleyball team and even the boys volleyball team?" I ask and Suga just nods his head.

We continue our tour and we stop in front of a classroom. "This will be your classroom, 2-4. There are actually two volleyball boys in this class that I can introduce you to! Their names are Ennoshita and Narita. Let's see..ah! Ennoshita! Narita!" Suga calls out to two boys and they come walking up to Suga. Suga then proceeds to introduce you to the boys and he tells them you may consider joining the girls volleyball team. They smile at you and y'all get to chat for a bit.

   "Hey Suga! Why are you here-" a kid who is shorter them me with dark brown hair with a blonde strip in the middle stops in his tracks with a taller guy who has a shaved head. They started staring and I got little uncomfortable. "Nishinoya, Tanaka this is (Y/N) she's new here and she is a second year. Please don't be weird. She may join the girls volleyball team so you need to be nice." The two boys nod their heads at him and bow to you. "Nice to meet you pretty mama. I'm Noya and this is Tanaka." I bow back and I give them a small wave with a small smile. They seem very energetic, but you think you can get along with them. The bell rings to start home room and I say bye to Suga and I thank him for the tour. "If you need anything please let me know. Here's my number so text me if you need to!" I look down at the piece of paper and smile at him. Ennoshita, Narita and I then proceed to go into the classroom

  "Okay class, we have a foreign exchange student today from (the state you're from), USA! Her name is (Y/N). Would you like to say anything to the class?" The teacher asks as I stand in the front. I keep looking down as I fiddle with my fingers, which is a coping mechanism for my social anxiety I have. I look up and I give a small wave. "Hi everybody. My name is (Y/N) and I am excited to be here. Um..I hope we can all be friends and I am looking forward to a great two years." I immediately look down as the class says hi. The homeroom teacher then proceeds to tell me to sit next to Ennoshita since there is an empty seat next to him. The homeroom teacher goes over the basic stuff for today and reminders and she leaves. 

A tall, older man comes in with a few books who I am assuming is the history teacher. "Okay class, today we are going to talk a little bit more of our Japanese history so please flip to page 123 in your books." I look around and everyone has their textbooks out and I realized I don't have any yet. I raise my hand and the teacher looks at me. "Oh, are you the new student, (Y/N)?" I nod my head. "Alright well today, you can share with Ennoshita if that's okay?" Ennoshita nods his head and pushes his book to me. Today is going to be a long day.

Hey y'all! Thanks for much for reading! I am sorry but the first few chapters may be a little boring since I am wanting to introduce everyone first and start getting some friendships first before Bokuto, Akaashi and all of them come in. I think he may make an appearance in the 4th chapter so be on the look out for that! I think I am going to try to be updating as much as I can as well this week since I start school next week to make up for it! Anyways, here are some facts about me!

-I did play volleyball! I played volleyball for almost 7 years! I miss it, but I have been doing band for 7 years as well. I am actually majoring in music education so I think I am going to try to bring those two elements into the story!
