Darkwing Duck: A time for action (requested by SonicYaoiFan)

*Authors note: In this 'What if', it will be an episode of how they first met up to the point to where they are close as partners of many bonds lying ahead of them. What if: Darkwing Duck and Launchpad meet through a bullying incident as teenagers instead of as adults and Launchpad becomes the hero of the situation. Hence, meaning that future Darkwing presents himself differently later on. I hope you guys enjoy this cute oneshot that will also be a couples' tale as well. 😄

Chapter 1:

In the small town of St. Canard, there is a hero in need.

One that will stop crime and bring good to the community.

Who is that hero you might ask?

Well, it'll be an honor to say that it's a brave individual duck.

One who will carry a big heart on his sleeve.

And his name is Launchpad Mcquack.

Now I bet you are all confused right now and might wondering how did it ever come to this conclusion?

Well...let me tell you a story.

About two boys....

Whose dream of always becoming a hero....

Were in sync.

Chapter 2:

In St. Canard high school, a small 14 year old duck with a dark brown leather bomber jacket, named Launchpad, was having a typical discussion with his parents about a dream that will soon change his life, someday.

One that his family had certainly became wary about in particular.

Especially if it's anything but regular flying or pilot training.

"But mom, it's my dream to be hero for this town! And look, I can still ride my plane and learn how to fight on my own in the long run. It'll help so many people. You got to let me do this." Launchpad begged his parents at the kitchen while his sister was eating some breakfast at the table.

"Oh honey, you know that every member of the Mcquack family has always been a pilot. Now go get ready for school or you're going to be late." His mom, Birdie Mcquack, expressed tiredly while trying to fix the rest of the family breakfast.

"Your mother is right. This business has been in our family for many generations. You should be proud to be a part of this opportunity. Just think about it okay, son?" His dad, Ripcord Mcquack, insisted with his mouth half full of breakfast food.

"sigh. Okay." Launchpad mumbled with a lip pout as he grabbed his backpack and heads off to school on a nearby bus.

Meanwhile, 18 year old Drake Mallard, whose family life is more large in space but was neglected of one, gathered together pieces of his future-to-be costume in a small bag that would fit snugly inside his own backpack.

Which included a cape, his mask and a purple two-piece outfit that mostly came from his pajamas set.

Of course, his workaholic parents don't realize is that he uses his after-school time to scour around for potential crime on students rather than go to his usual tutoring lessons.

Despite the fact that he hasn't actually been able to spot a crime, just yet.

So, with that being said, he says goodbye to his butler and runs off to his nearby bus for school.
