Chapter 12

A/N - I apologise in advance for all the perspective changes you are about to go through

Emmet POV:

"I know you're out there, please show yourselves, and we can talk in peace."

We all looked at each other. How did they know we were here? 

The only option now was to show ourselves. We looked at each other and silently decide to slowly approach the house.

I know that Bella told us to not go crazy and attack the parents as she was not completely positive about their situation. 

I had that in the back of my mind, however, as soon as I saw the father I was filled with rage. How could a person ever do what he did to their child?

I sprint forwards and hold the father by his neck up against the wall. Jasper follows right behind me and pins the mother to the wall as well.

We don't try to kill them but we do make them struggle for breath. 

Sam POV:

As soon as my parents were pinned to the wall Charlie and I stood next to each other and faced the door waiting for the others to come. And they did.

They all looked at us and looked at our arms as if they were trying to figure something out. 

Charlie and I drew our weapons and they were even more confused with that. I didn't really know if they could see our swords or if they were intimidated by us at all but we had to do something. I decided to use their confusion to our advantage.

'Let our parents go!' I shouted and Charlie echoed what I said. We didn't know if our weapons were going to hurt them and I wanted this to be as peaceful as possible.

Esme POV:

I couldn't take my eyes away from the children's arms. They were all black and blue and the same with their legs. It was horrible and I couldn't understand why their parents would do that to them. 

I looked over at Bella and I knew that she didn't even believe it herself. Yes, she had told us about what she thought was happening in their house but I don't even think that she fully believed what she was telling us. Until now. 

With the daughter and son in the middle of the room facing us, they looked at each other and pulled out a knife and a sword? Who gave these weapons to these children? Clearly, their parents were even more irresponsible than we thought. 

Then I looked at the parents. They were clearly struggling for breath but Emmet and Jasper were not going to kill them. Not right now, anyway. But as I looked closer, they had similarly shaped bruises on their bodies, they were just smaller and less of them.

Did this mean the kids were fighting back?

Annabeth POV:

I can barely breathe, I can tell that neither can Percy. We are both clearly struggling however, we held it in. We had been in far worse situations, however, that fact didn't make any of this scarier.

If anything, I was more worried about Sam and Charlie. They had never been in a situation like this. Yes, they trained for times like this but no amount of training can prepare you for the real thing.  

I heard them shout at the vampires who are holding us to let us go but I kept my eyes trained on Percy. He is the only thing making me attempt to breathe at this point.

I was about to pass out. I can feel it. I was getting dizzier and my vision was quickly fading. When something happened.

I couldn't be sure but Sam was shouting at them again to let us go when Charlie announced: 'We know what you are!'

That got everyone's attention, and it was the distraction Percy needed.

In the split second that the vampires thought about the words that came out of my son's mouth, Percy had summoned a shit ton of water and pushed the vampire off me. I fell to the ground and before the one holding Percy noticed he pushed him off and Percy also fell to the ground.

Sam and Charlie run over to us and give us some ambrosia and nectar before the vampires even think about what they are doing. 

The kids are standing above us with their weapons out, protecting us. Percy recovers quicker than I do so he summons Riptide and stands with them. 

I don't want this to get violent but at the moment it seemed it was going that way. I had to do something. 

Edward POV: 

It was weird to watch them. I knew that Esme was really worried about the kids up until that moment. When the children started protecting their parents. 

I looked at my family who all had similar looks of confusion on their faces. Why were these kids helping their parents? Are we wrong?

I then looked at Carlisle who was trying to approach the situation without starting a fight. This was going to be hard as the father also had his sword out. 

Annabeth POV:

I was about to stand up when the vampire with the blond hair stepped forward and calmly said 'We don't want to harm you, can we just talk?'

At this Percy and the kids looked like they still wanted to kill the vampires but I knew that if they were to just listen to our story then they would see that this is just a misunderstanding. 

I told the rest of the family in ancient greek what I was planning to do and silently laughed at their faces cause I knew that the vamps didn't understand the language, no matter how old they are. 

'Look would you guys like to sit down? I know what you are all thinking and I promise it's really not what it looks like. We'll put our weapons away if you all just calm down and relax. You know that we know that you are Vampires and we have known for a while now so we're not going to tell anyone.'

It was the blond one that replied a minute later.

'We'll sit and listen to you but just to let you know, most of us are quite skeptical of what you are going to say.'

'I understand that but please, just give us some time to explain everything.'

'Ok' He replies, and they all take a seat.

Here goes nothing.

-I'm sorry that I took so long to update, I was going to update a couple of weeks ago but as usual, life gets in the way. However as I left this on a tiny cliffie, I hope to have the next update here within the next month. (not making any promises :)
