When Two Collide (Twilight x Percy Jackson Fanfic)

Chapter 7

Edward POV:

I don't know what to do with this information. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, I really didn't but I have to find out what this all means.

As I ran home I thought about what I heard them say. Legacies. What could that mean?

Do they have some sort of secret like us? 

Could they be a different type of Vampire? I know they exist but I didn't think they lived on this side of America.

What if, what if, what if...

My mind was going out of control thinking about what they could do to us. 

I had to clam down, I just had to. I couldn't stress out Bella or Renesmee. I will tell them, but not now, I have to find Carlisle.

'Carlisle, I have to talk to you', I said when I entered the main house.

'Son, what can I do for you?'

'You know those kids...'

'That you told me about after school today' Carlisle finished off.

'Yeah, well when I was passing their house today while I was hunting I heard them talking in that foreign language again. However, when I was coming back home I heard them talking again but in English.'

'Really? What did they say?' He asked me.

'Just one word' I say.

'Legacies.'

'Honestly, I have no idea what that means. It could be something to do with their family or I do know of a tv show called 'Legacies.'  I'm sure it's not that though. However, I think that you need to tell Bella about this because she'll want to know about this, no matter how small. 

I really didn't want to worry Bella but I had to tell her, it was the right thing to do.

'Bella, could I talk to you for a second?' I ask once I reach our cottage.

'Sure, love'

'Look Bella, you know those new kids that started at school? Well I think they are not normal human beings.'

'In what way?' She questions.

'Well I overheard them talking today when I passed their house and heard them say 'Legacies,' as well as speaking in that foreign language again.'

She looks at me weirdly but then starts to really think about what I just said. It takes her a while to answer me again but when she does it is calculated and has been carefully thought about.

'I think that even if they are hiding something from us then honestly I don't think we have the right to know.'

'But-' I begin to say.

'No, I want you to hear me out first.'

I looked and nodded at her to continue.

'Almost every student at school thinks we are different but we don't just go around and tell everyone what we are. So, I think that it is fair that they can have some secrets that are kept to themselves as well. I'm sure that you are just as curious as I am to really know what they are but we need to learn to respect peoples privacy. Especially you, Edward.'

I though about what she said to me for a second. It took a while but I soon realized what she truly meant. I am so used to hearing others thoughts. Sure, I tune them out to try and respect their privacy but I can't stop the voices from entering my mind. As always, my Bella is right.

I could tell by her face that I looked defeated. 

'So am I right?' She asked.

'As always love, you are correct.'

As I leaned down to kiss her she pushed me onto the bed and we didn't speak about the matter for the rest of the night.

A short chapter but I hope you all enjoy it! Sorry I haven't been updating recently I've been busy with school stuff. I hope everyone is staying safe with the whole COVID 19 thing. Schools in Australia haven't been canceled yet but I'm hoping they will after the Easter holidays :) Stay safe and wash your hands for 20 seconds to get all the germs off.
