Jackson and Mark
---
After what felt like a mad dash to the green house, Hoseok had started to run from the realization of how the library was on the opposite side of the green house. Huffing loudly when he in front of the glass building full of greenery and floral plants. He had finally regained a normal breathing pattern and made his way inside to see Mark and Jackson play fighting with soil, throwing it back and forth while laughing loudly.
Hoseok knocked on a planter box, causing both men to freeze as they turned to see Hoseok with an amused expression at their dirty complexions. "Howdy, lads. You got a clue for me?" Hoseok asked, tipping an imaginary fedora in greeting to the couple.
Mark and Jackson both dropped their bags of soil, feeling around their pockets for the next clue, both men simultaneously widening their eyes in shock from not feeling the paper Youngjae had specifically told them not to lose. Mark facepalmed in annoyance, Jackson cursing lowly under his breath to share his frustration also.
"Mark, didn't we stash it in one of the soil bags?" Jackson tried to ask quietly, but as the three were the only ones present in the green house, they all heard the question.
Mark giggled, his mouth forming an 'o' shape from their brilliant plan before Hoseok's arrival. "Oh yeah," Mark replied, looking at Hoseok with an evil grin, "There are three bags of soil here and one of them contain your next clue. If you answer two questions correctly, we will give you the bag with the envelope so you only dirty your hands once, or you can just take a guess and dig through all four."
Jackson mouthed a 'sorry' to Hoseok from his grimace at the amount of soil in front of him, but Hoseok wanted a challenge so he picked up one of the bags and walked towards an empty planter box and started to pour the soil in it.
The couple watched with intent stares, wondering why Hoseok took the hard way out instead of the easy route. "You know the questions are really easy, right?" Mark asked, not knowing his advantage of being Youngjae's friend the longest compared to the others, "You could have easily answered them and left, Hoseok."
"Yeah, you don't want to keep Youngjae waiting that long, right?" Jackson added as a matter of fact, watching over Hoseok's shoulder as he ruffled his hands through the soil to find another envelope with his name on it.
Hoseok could not find the envelope in the first bag, so he went to retrieve another, pouring it in another empty planter box whilst searching through it to find the next letter. "Jinyoung and Jaebeom already asked me a question, I'd rather work my hardest to get to Youngjae than taking an easy way out to get quicker to him. This way means I would do anything to be with him, no matter what type of challenge it is, I will do it to be with Youngjae." He explained, not finding the envelope in the second bag either.
The couple did their best at hiding their coos and awes at Hoseok's words, Jackson taking it upon him to ruffle his brunette strands while praising his speech. Mark too joined in and laughed with both men at how much Hoseok really did care for Youngjae.
Taking the third bag of soil and pouring it into the last box, Hoseok smiled when seeing the green envelope slip out, grabbing it out of the dirt pile to put into his pocket once more. He looked back at the couple with a beam, "Do you want to help me plant some sunflower seeds? Youngjae loves sunflowers."
Mark reached into his pocket, revealing three packets of sunflower seeds in a surprised way. "How did you know that?"
"Youngjae and I spend a lot of time together and I listened to every little bit of information he told me no matter how random or 'boring' it seemed." Hoseok replied, taking a packet for himself and handing another to Jackson. "He really trusts me, and I really trust him."
"You guys are endgame, huh?" Jackson blurted out, taking ahold of Mark's empty hand. "I'm glad you both radiate the same feelings and energy."
Hoseok smiled while faced the planter box behind him, burying the seeds into the soil and watering over them slowly as Jackson and Mark walked over to the other boxes to do the same. Once the process was over, Hoseok gave his hands a wash and waved goodbye to the couple and walked out of the green house to the nearest bench to read his next clue.
The letter consisted of a picture of Youngjae and the boys surrounded around him and a hug, it looked like a birthday picture which made Hoseok smile knowing that he was going to be in the pictures in the future. He could see himself holding Youngjae close to him, either pressing a kiss to his lips or cheek cutely to put other couples to shame as they could not reciprocate the love, they shared for each other.
'Stay close to people that feel like sunlight. Your final clue is at the diner we all hung out at for the first time. I can't wait to see you <3'
