『3』Anima City

You guys had finally made it to Anima City! You and Michiru were so excited to see the city, so you ran all the way to the centre, only to find there was nobody there..?

The place was completely deserted, and quite creepy. It made you want to curl up and hide in a corner.

"Hello?" Michiru called out, and you jumped a little, startled by how loud her voice seemed, and how it would echo, the syllables bouncing off each crevice of the smooth stone walls. After the echoing subsided, it was quiet. Too quiet.

You could hear a lone wolf's howl in the distance, and that alone was enough to send shivers up your spine. Suddenly, a whole orchestra of wolves' howls filled your ears. It was almost deafening. The sound was menacing, and all around you, coming closer and caving in. It was almost suffocating, and there was no escape. You wanted it to stop.

You squeezed your eyes shut and placed your hands over you ears. You couldn't handle it anymore. You unconsciously shifted to your beastman form.

A warm hand, or, paw, was placed gently on your shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay," Michiru said. "Open your eyes!"

You did as you were asked and you were hit with light. It was like the equivalent of waking up and being slapped in the face with sunlight. You squinted your eyes to help adjust them to the light. Once they did, you were in awe.

There were lights and food stalls everywhere! You were almost drooling, but out of the corner of your eye, you could see a bright blue-silver wolf like figure on top of a building, almost like it was watching over the city. But you blinked and it was gone. 

You knew that your eyes didn't trick you, because the amount of power radiating off the creature's body was no joke. But what you didn't know was that the creature could sense the power that your body held as well. 

The creature decided to keep on close eye on you, because he knew how destructive the power that you held was. If it were to get into the wrong hands... The whole of Anima City could be at stake...

"Michiru!" You called out to her. 

"Yeah?" She answered.

"Can we go get some katsudon? Please?" You begged.

"Sure, why not? I'm pretty sure I saw a stand over there." Michiru pointed to where a stand was standing, (a/n astronomical creativity right there) and you literally dragged her towards it. Poor little tanuki.

You and Michiru ordered your katsudon, and you watched with awe as your food was being prepared. Michiru stole glances at you, watching your eyes light up in joy as your food was handed to you. She really was grateful to have you as her friend, but she couldn't help but hope that she could one day be more than that. (oop-)

Out of nowhere, a pair of lanky boys came up to you two in muscle shirts which, by the way, looked absolutely horrible on them. One of them probably gathered up his last few braincells, and said;

"What's cookin', good looking?" You wanted to gag but your face was currently stuffed full of rice and you didn't want to waste it. The good thing was, Michiru faked gagged for you. Ain't she amazing? You finally swallowed your rice so you could give them an answer.

"Whatever it is, it's probably hotter than you hun, so I would appreciate if you two left my line of sight and try your little flirting game with someone actually in your league, thanks," You replied without skipping a beat.

The boys obviously weren't expecting that answer, so they decided to go with plan B and target Michiru instead.

"Awe, come on ladies, we lowered our standards to come talk to you. What do you say, you and I go on a date little tanuki?" the other dude said and had the AUDACITY to drape his bone-looking arm over Michiru's shoulders.

"I say, no," Michiru stated, and shrugged the dude's arm off her. "If you lowered your standards, they were way too high to start with, and still are, mind you. And even if you did lower them, that doesn't mean that I need to lower mine."

"So if I were you, I would lower them a little, no, a LOT more and try to find someone that likes your scrawny asses," You started. "But that's probably gonna be a challenge, seeing as you had to guilt-trip us into thinking you're our best choice, which, obviously, didn't work. Now fuck off, and leave us be." 

"Why you little-" one guy started.

You closed your eyes and opened them, your pupils faded away to show your eyes as a solid white colour with a golden glow. 

"Little what, huh? Little shit maybe? Little bitch? Try calling me or her one of those names, I dare you," You said in a fake sweet voice. "If you do, I assure you, it won't be pretty."

The two boys shrank back in fear, and you could only watch as they ran into the crowd. As soon as they were gone, your eyes turned back to their usual (E/C), and you started to freak out.

"Oh my gosh Michiru! Are you okay?! Did that guy hurt you? Did he pickpocket you? Did he stab you with anything suspicious? Did he-"

"I'm fineeee! Don't worry! What would he stab me with? A needle? Pshhh, please, he can't get rid of me that easy!" Michiru exclaimed.

"You'd be surprised..." You mumbled. 

"Awe man, now my tonkatsu's cold! Stupid flirts..." Michiru pouted. You patted her head sympathetically and gave her a cute grin. You weren't affected since you finished your tonkatsu a while ago. 

Suddenly, the lights went down and a big screen showed the face of presumably the mayor of Anima City. She said a quick 'Welcome to Anima City' and introduced herself as Rosé Barballet, the mayor. She also said that this festival is to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Anima City.

Well, this is going to be interesting.

So Michiru has a lil crush~ hehehehehe. We'll see how this goes. By the way, I'm sorry if the plot doesn't make sense. I'm literally just writing it as the ideas come to me while following the series' original storyline.
