Katrina looked back to see who had spoken. To her surprise, it was the man from the party!

"Hey Colby," Sam said dryly "What's up?"

"Not a lot," he said walking past Sam. He stuck out his hand to her "I'm Colby."

Kat shook his hand "I'm kat,"

She decided against saying she recognized him from the party. He seemed to have no recollection of her and she was not about to embarrass herself.

She watched as Sam and Colby talked about something in the corner. They came back after a little while, both of them grinning from ear to ear.

"How would you like to join in on our Friday night party games?" Colby said cheerily, "I know it's not what you two planned but-"

"I would love to!" Kat exclaimed, cutting him off, "What games are we playing?"

"You'll just have to wait and see," Colby said mischievously.

He grabbed her hand, pulling her toward the living room.

"Come on I'll introduce you to everyone."

Colby had come downstairs having heard the commotion that had ensued seconds before. He had been greeted with the sight of Sam, his back turned to him, talking to a girl who was just out of his line of sight. When sam stepped aside Colby's jaw nearly dropped. The girl was breathtaking.  He had cheerily introduced himself as he could not let this beautiful girl go without learning her name. "Kat" she had introduced herself as, a name fitting to her as she seemed small but elegant, much like her name's animal counterpart.

Colby took a seat beside Katrina much to the annoyance of Aaron who had been sitting next to her previously. He grumbled something about "there was space over there, why you gotta make me move?" but he eventually gave in and walked to the other side of the circle. As soon as he sat down Colby's whole body felt zapped with electricity. Kat's knee touched his and at the point of contact was where he held his entire focus. Sam looked at him and coughed. Colby looked up embarrassed.

"Sorry about that. I must have just zoned out a bit."

Colby watched Sam as he played rock paper scissors with Corey for the first turn. Sam won, as Colby had expected, his friend had always been really good at that game.

"Corey, truth, or dare?"

"Dare brother, I don't really trust you with a truth."

Sam thought for a moment and then broke into a mischievous grin.

"I dare you to take off Devyn's sock with your teeth."

"Eeeeewwww" the whole circle chimed in, everyone laughing.

And so the game went somebody would pick an unlucky victim and ask them the ultimate question. There was a lot of gagging at some of the disgusting things done, but all in all, it was pretty fun. Colby couldn't remember the exact time that somebody brought the drinks out, but then again he could barely remember his own name he was so drunk.

"Ayyeee!" Everyone cheered as the tequila shots clinked together. And in that moment, all seemed right with the world.

                                                                                         ***

Corey's hair dripped on the floor as he came back in from the pool, Colby having dared him to jump in. Corey looked mad as he sat down shivering, Devyn draping a towel across his back.

"Colby you asshole that was a horrible dare!"

"Hey!" he said putting his hands up in surrender. "I'm just playing the game!"

Corey looked at Colby and gave him a smirk that sent shivers down his spine.

"Colby, truth, or dare?" Colby thought for a moment contemplating. Corey was known for his very... revealing truths. And Colby was not about to completely embarrass himself in front of kat.

"Dare," he said, trying to sound confident.

Corey's smile grew, he looked around at everyone and then back at Colby.

"I dare you to kiss kat."
