Bren didn't let go either. It's like he's been waiting for this since he'd seen me. Half of my mind told me to pull away, but the other side, it told me I've wanted this too. I listened to that side of my mind and rested my head on his shoulder. I smiled. A rare thing for me to do infrount of people. I don't think that I've smiled very often since my mother died. Bren broke away and I frowned again. There was a breif silence between us. And in that silence I began to have my mental debate. Wheater to ask my best friend to hook up with me, or to not. "Why don't you come back to my house?" I finnally asked after staring at the plain floor for what seemed like hours, probably looking insane as always.  Bren nodded slowly. It looked like he was embarassed. I was half~embarassed, but that didn't matter right now. I gathered my things and put my jacket back on. Bren opened the door and let me go first. I breathed a 'Thank you' and waited for him to lock the door. He trotted down his porch steps and led me down the driveway. I finnally did something I knew he'd been waiting for. I took his hand and we walked to my house together in silence.

A short chapter, I know. But I had major writer's block, so I kept it short. Btw, the fluff kicks in soon~
