Talking

School was over for the day. The losers finally met up outside the school where they used to.
"Where the fuck have you guys been?"
Mike asked.
"Life's been stressful with Sonia recently. Sorry, we'll try to spend more time with you guys from now on."
Richie said while giving a smile.
"Right Ed's?"
Eddie nodded. He didn't want to think about having to deal with Sonia at the moment. He just wanted everything to go back to normal.
"Well, my cousins having a party next week, you guys in?"
Bev asked.
"Um, I don't really like partys"
Eddie said.
"Eddie why not? "
Asked Richie.
"They just make me uncomfortable."
Eddie seemed really upset.
"W-well I'm in"
Bill said smiling looking around at everyone. Everyone else nodded they're heads exept for Richie and Eddie.
"Well Richie, are you still coming?"
Bev asked.
"I wanna be here for Eddie right now."
Said Richie.
"Oh, okay"
Said Bev. Bev continued to talk about the details and location of the party while Eddie spaced out.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Richie whispered to Eddie.
"Yeah, I'm fine"
Said Eddie. Richie held Eddie's hand and smiled at him. Eddie smiled back, but Richie could tell he was faking it.
"See you guys tommarow"
Bev said as they all walked backed home. When Richie and Eddie walked back to the front porch Richie asked Eddie what was wrong and for him to be completely honest with him.
"You seemed fine earlier today, what happened?"
Asked Richie.
"I'm just stressed out about my mom right now."
Said Eddie.
"Well don't worry about it, my mom's gonna figure it out. I love you Ed's."
Eddie couldn't help but smile. He held Richie's hand and they walked inside. Richie's mom was sitting on the couch.
"I have to talk to you two"
She said. They both sat on chairs in front of her.
"Eddie, I have two options for you."
She said. Eddies heart started pumping.
"Me and Richie are going to be moving."
"WHAT?!"
Richie exclaimed.
"Mom we can't, all my friends are here."
"Well I'm sorry Richie, but we're going to be staying with you're aunt and uncle. It's nicer in Oregon anyways. Now Eddie, you can come with us, but you would need to stay in a Foster home. There's not enough space in the cottage. I spoke to the Denbroughs today and they could take you in as well."
Richie couldn't help but start to cry.
"That's not f-fair, Eddie deserves more then a shitty foster home, how will we know that they're not like total psychos?!"
Richie said trying to hold the tears in. Eddie didn't say anything, but he started to panic. He quickly took his inhaler out of his fanny pack and took two puffs. A single tear ran down his face.
"I need to go for a walk."
Said Eddie very calmly.
"Ed-"
Richie began to say, but Eddie walked out the front door. Richie started to run out as well as his mom was yelling his name. When Richie finally caught up to Eddie he was crying under a tree. Richie sat down next to him.
"Eddie, I-"
"I'm not going with you Richie."
Said Eddie.
"W-what? Eddie wait, please"
"I'm so, so sorry Richie."
Eddie was sobbing so much it was hard for him to speak.
"I love you, I really really love you. But its too painful to leave. It's too painful to know that I'm gonna be fag for the rest of my life. I just want everything to go away."
Richie looked at Eddie holding his hands.
"I'm a fag too"
Richie said laughing and crying at the same time.
"I'll always love you Ed's, but I understand you not wanting to leave here. But fuck, why are you doing this to me."
Said Richie.
"I don't know, but I'll always remember you."
Said Eddie. Richie stood up and helped Eddie up wiping the tears off his face. They walked back home and inside.
"What are we gonna do?"
Asked Richies mom.
"I-I'm gonna stay here."
Eddie said looking down.
"When are we leaving mom?"
"This next Saturday. You're taking time off school to pack with me. Eddie, you can stay home too if you help."
Eddie nodded.
"Mom, there's this party next Friday, can me and Eddie go?"
Richie said still crying. Richies mom nodded as Richie grabbed Eddies hand and took him upstairs into his room.
"We're gonna go to that party Ed's."
Eddie nodded.
"You're gonna stay home with me the whole week and we're gonna make the most of the time we have left."
Richie said hugging Eddie.
