I go throughout first period with Brett stuck in my mind. I am not sure why, but I keep replaying our conversation over and over again like a DVD rewinding repeatedly. It is the period before lunch and I am in math class with Mr. Tatum. As I find a seat next to one of my best friends, Abigail DuGin, Brett smiles handsomely at me by the door. He is in my math class. Everyone takes their seats as the bell rings and Brett decides to sit behind me today.
"What's up with him? He never sits there." Abigail murmurs while smirking. She motions to Brett, sitting behind me.
"I don't know," I reply while peering over my shoulder to find him smiling at me and I blush. His dimples are so adorable, I have never noticed them before.
After class, Abigail and I are making our way down to our lockers when someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around expecting one of my good friends Ally, Ellen, Katie, or Cece to be behind me, but nope, it was him. Beautiful Brett. He is wearing grey sweats with his Jordan's and some sports jersey today, cute.
"Hey, this is kind of random but would you want to hangout sometime?" He says, a little nervous. I was not expecting that.
"Haha, sure! When?" I blush, trying to act casual. Abigail is wide-eyed and smirking while trying to play it cool behind me.
"Umm...how about Friday? Movies and dinner?" Brett asks, with an adorable expression on his face. His clear skin shining.
"I would love to. " I respond with a big smile on my face. I hope I am not blushing. We make eye contact again. His blue eyes meet my hazel eyes and I feel like we know each other so well, even though we don't.
"I will pick you up at seven. It's a date!" He says happily and walks away in the other direction.
"He's cute, what's going on?" Abigail questions with a smile stuck on her face. She's nudging me in the side, playfully.
"I will tell you everything at lunch." I respond while laughing and putting my arm around her shoulder.
