Outside

: When I got out of my house, I locked the door behind me.

: I then started walking to a grocery store that was a few blocks from the neighborhood.

Store entrance

: After about what seemed like twenty minutes I reached the store.

: I look at the sign on the door, reading the business schedule.

: Since it's Monday this store closes in an hour.

: I loved walking in here, the manager was nice.

: But since he has an illness, this store closes really early.

: I then walk inside.

Store

: I looked around, seeing that there were only a few customers in here.

: Well it's better than any other store that has a lot of loud people and having to deal with kids screaming all the time.

: I grab one of the grocery baskets and head down the medical aisle.

: I then look at each shelf.

: Medicine, Nyquil, Allergy medicine, cough medicine.

: Band-aids.

: Bandages!

: I stop and grab a few boxes that each hold two wraps of bandages per box.

: Mainly three to five boxes.

: Thank god the things in this place are cheap.

: Once I got enough, I made my way down to the canned food section.

: As I walked down the aisle, I picked up any can that was soup.

: Basically tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, miso soup.

: Anything that looked good.

: Jesus, if I keep this up I might as well be on a soup store meme.

: Alright, I think I got enough to last me for a while.

: I then got out of the aisle and took another aisle that leads to the self-checkout registers.

: As I entered the aisle I immediately froze.

: Is that Natsuki?

: Natsuki was picking out what seemed like to be a box of baking dough.

: Panicking a little realizing this isn't school anymore, I slowly turned around about to walk away-

Natsuki: "Hey Y/N!"

: I heard her calling my name, which actually made me start to panic more.

: I slowly turned around to face the inevitable.

: Natsuki crosses her arms as I approached her.

: I nervously waved at her when I stopped at a good enough distance between us.

: So that way I can make a fucking break for it if she starts screaming bloody murder again.

Natsuki: "Hey."

: Natsuki averts her eyes for a split second.

: I can already tell this is going to get awkward between us.

: I pulled out my phone to shoot her a text.

Y/N: "How are you?"

: I hesitantly sent her the message as I could already feel the anxiety kicking in.

: I then heard Natsuki's phone vibrate which causes her to take it out of her what appears to be a skirt pocket.

: As she looks up from her phone she gives me an expression of detestation on her face.

: Called it.

Natsuki: "Ugh, isn't your throat getting better at all? It feels like I'm talking to a mannequin!"

: I just look down, regretting coming here.

Natsuki: "I'm doing fine by the way, since you asked."
