⁂ No one's POV ⁂
⁂ Beacon Hills, Keelin's home ⁂
Piper blinked away her dreams as if they were specks of sand that she was determined to get away. Every inch of her body was drenched in sweat from what Piper could remember was 4 nightmares.
She quickly turned over and tried to grab her phone but all she saw was her blankets in the place of it. Her phone was alas on the floor and- oh- it's Piper's first day of school at Beacon Hills. Filled with terror and joy of her first day of school.
She nudged Keelin lightly and asked "Are you awake Kee?" She didn't move one bit just her breathing slowly and her heart fast.
Piper got up off the bed slowly making sure not to wake her aunt. Piper hurried to the boxes at the side of her room and tried to pair an outfit together. In the end she picked out a pair of jeans, t-shirt, combat boots, leather bag, and a over sized button up jacket as a coat.. (Image below.)
Piper took her clothes to the bathroom and changed quickly. She ran back in and quickly woke up her aunt Keelin with a shake. She whisper yelled, "Keelin, Wake up!" and Keelin woke up. "Piper what time is it?" "It's 6:57, Keelin." She said while glancing at her phone. Piper put her phone in her bag and started to walk out of her room to go downstairs as Keelin was starting to get up.
Piper speedily put bread in the toaster and got out some butter which seemed to be the only thing in the fridge.
"Keelin, where is all the food?" Piper yelled. "There is none sorry, Piper!" When Piper heard those words she scrunched her nose. "Ow." She said as her nose hurt a bit when she moved it.
As she yelled out in pain the toaster popped up. She went over to the fridge and stuck her nose in it. "Ah.. That's better." The coldness nipped her nose but felt good. Piper quite hated the cold.
She quickly put the toast in her hand and smeared the butter on with a butter knife she found in the cabinet. The toast wasn't the best for Piper but it was all they had. She tried to get the taste out of her mouth with water so she stuck her head under the sink and drank some of it. It tasted like a metallic mess.
Keelin rushed down the stairs and started to pull her hair up into a ponytail. Piper left her wavy hair down as she liked when it was uncontained, wild, untamed. The bag Piper was carrying had lip balm, hair ties from last year, and an arrange of other random things.
Piper took the keys off the table and went to start the car. Keelin was putting her heels on and taking her coffee outside. She looked like a mess but Piper thought it looked better than when she was asleep.
Piper twisted the key until the car started. Aunt Keelin was a couple steps away from the car but Piper could already hear her heels. Keelin opened the car door and sat in the driver's seat.
Without a sound Keelin started driving. They didn't need to talk to figure out the feeling in the car. It was worry, fear, anger, sadness, and more. Keelin didn't want to move but she needed to. Not for her sake but for Piper's.
People would hunt her. Not for being a wolf but for being a firstborn from the Drake line. The Drakes were a very strong family of not wolves but guardians for the wolves. They were and still are.. witches.
Piper didn't know and neither did Keelin until her 16th birthday when her powers would show themselves if they didn't already.
Piper was looking out the window at all the plants. Piper loved nature but usually couldn't keep a surrounding of them because of the places they lived. They would always be in a city but Beacon Hills was different. She felt like it called her. It felt like home.
And with that they were at the school. She asked aunt Keelin for a band aid to put on her nose. Keelin handed her one. Piper stuck it on her nose and hoped that would help with the sharp pains
Piper opened the door and stepped out taking in her surroundings. Piper pulled out her headphones from her bag and started playing 'Little Lion Man.'
She walked through the big doors and started to try to find the office. She looked behind her but Keelin had already drove away. The perfect first day was yet to come. Piper looked around and saw a familiar face looking at her. The boy she saw after the crash went to her school.
'Great' she thought now he was walking towards her. The first thing she noticed was he was holding a basketball on his hip. Piper also noticed he was a bit taller then her. She looked up a bit to see what was happening and he took on headphone out of her ear and placed it in his.
"Good taste in music. Nice style. Like the hair My guess is your funny. Nothing like anyone at this school so, my guess is that you're new here."
Piper looked confused. She hadn't have anyone talk to her willingly at any other school. This was new to her and she didn't know how to react. "I- Uh.. Yeah." 'WHY DID I STUTTER!' She scolded herself in her head.
"I'm Derek. Derek Hale. And you are?"
"I'm Piper Drake and lost."
They both chuckled at the comment
"I'll point you in the way of the office if you would like."
"That would be great." Piper was racking her brain on what to say to him after that.
"Hey Derek! Come practice with us!" A boy behind Derek yelled to him.
Derek turned and yelled back, "Be there in a second!" Piper had a questioning look on her face. "Oh right the office." He said. "That way." Derek pointed down the hall
And with that he was gone down the hallway. She walked to what seem to be the office where a lady asked her name. "Piper Drake." Piper spoke clearly yet the lady was confused. "I'm new here." Piper spoke up. "Oh." The lady started typing into the computer in front of her. The printer started to put ink on the paper. Piper looked at the paper. It seemed to be the schedule and the room numbers.
"Thank you." Piper said and walked out. She started to walk to her first class and with that she bumped into someone...
