A smiling Riddle. Aurora never thought she'd live to see the day when Tom Riddle would smile. At Her. And not the kind of smile he has when he is praised by teachers, not the smile he has when he overhears people talking about him in the hallways, this was different. His smile was warm and friendly. This was a very drastic change from his affection towards her in the dark classroom he had pulled her into.

Aurora has to wonder if this is the same Tom she had known years prior. She wonders if his kind attitude was an act he was putting on in front of other students and a teacher.

Snape had begun to teach. Moving up his sleeves and saying "watch". Aurora was thankful that all students eyes were now on Snape, that must mean that Tom to is watching closely for it would be an embarrassment for Tom to mess up because be wasn't paying attention to the demonstration. Aurora was listening well and pushing one side of her hair behind her ear as she wrote down the steps and ingredients of the potion. Snape had crafted the Pepperup Potion and it was the students time to replicate the potion.

Aurora and Tom had shared a cauldron. Aurora could have simply let Tom do all the work but Snape had his eye out on Aurora. She might have been known to have mess ups in this class. Aurora found herself following the steps she had written down in her small emerald green notebook. Just as she was about to add mandrake root Tom had grabbed her hand. "Not yet" Tom said with authority "wait until it fizzes" he added on less harshly. He had let go of her hand as their shared cauldron fizzed and she was able to drop the root in. "Thanks" Aurora said back as she could not afford to embarrass herself in front of Snape with her failed potion again. Tom just hummed back.

Aurora could still feel a pressure on her arm. She could still see a mark from where Tom had held her wrist. But she didn't mind, it wasn't painful and she was thankful he had even touched her.

Snape had come by their table to see their finished product. He hummed when he saw no explosion of mishap from her and Toms table. "Maybe with Riddle at your table you might have a chance at passing this class" He had said in his normal tone, somehow managing to praise and degrade her.

As class had come to an end and other students had gotten up and left, Aurora had stayed in her seat and waited. So had Tom. She was waiting for Cedric to come to her table and take her to talk like he asked. Tom had stayed because she had.

A head of Brownish-Blondish hair had made its was to Aurora. Cedric had greeted her with a smile like always. His smile was different from Tom. It was very rarely to see Cedric without a smile when he greets someone. A smile fit him and his warm aura. "Are you ready to go?" He asked her with his notebook in hand. Aurora nodded in response. Just as she grabbed her own notebook and stood up Tom took a hold of her hand.

Not her wrist like before, he took her hand. He was softer this time but he was just as dominating as before. Aurora had turned to Tom. She remembered how in the other classroom he had demanded that she stay away from Cedric. "Oh Ced can we talk some other time, I-"

" Sorry Ced, Aurora and I already have plans" Tom cuts Aurora off with fake concern for Cedric as he intertwined his fingers with Aurora and pulled her out of potions class and into the hallway.
