Oh his cold rings. The biggest one on his middle finger was pressed against her pulse. That ring was his family ring. He had never been seen without that ring. It was thick silver band with his family's crest engraved on the top. This ring signified power and carried weight. Tom had been from a family of rich and powerful wizards-most importantly, they were pureblood.
His cold rings contrasted with his warm hands that felt like a cuff on Aurora's wrist. Tom pulled at her arm to show her that he wanted to bring her somewhere. Tom pulls her through the crowded hallways. Other students were watching as he dragged Aurora by the wrist. Aurora tripped a bit trying to keep up with his long strides. Tom had towered over Aurora as he was 6'4, with most of his height coming from his long legs.
Aurora had found herself being pushed into a dark classroom. Aurora couldn't tell which classroom it was, it was the room of a class taken by 7th years. Aurora bumped into a desk.
Without looking at Aurora, Tom has shut and locked the door to the classroom. He walked up to where Aurora had landed on the desk after he had pushed her in the room. Riddle put each of his hands in either side of her and bent his back forward to cage her in between him and the desk.
"Tom whats going on-" Aurora was cut off by Tom hovering over her neck. His cold, minty breath covered Auroras left side and her body was left in chills. Toms right hand was slowly coming up her back, up to her ribbon-tied ponytail. He grabbed a hold of her blonde hair- wrapping his hand in it and pulling. Aurora was forced to lift her head to meet Toms eyes.
Tom had removed his hand from her hair and moved to gently but firmly hold her chin. Aurora had to stare into his dark eyes. "Bunny, I don't want you talking to Cedric, understand?" he had asked firmly. Aurora had been to taken back by his pet name to register that Tom has wanted a response. "understand?" Tom had said again, this time void of kindness. "oh, sorry yeah I got it" Aurora responded, tripping over her words. "ok, get back to the common room" Tom had demanded with his soft voice coming back as he moved one of his arms to let her slip out.
Aurora didn't have to be asked twice and left the room as quick as she came in. But when shutting the door behind her, she had taken a look at Tom. He had turned back around, not facing her, with his hands gripping the edges of the table. His veins almost jumping out of his hands with how hard he was grabbing the table.
The halls were empty. Aurora was thankful. There were no students to see her leaving the room with her blushing face. It was bad enough that they had seen her getting pulled in the room. Aurora hurried to the common room before Tom could follow
her. When she got to the common room it was quiet. That was weird. The common room was never quiet on the first day. Aurora has expected that there was no one in the room so it came as a surprise when she looked up and saw 10 pairs of eyes on her. The only thing to be heard were quite murmurs about her. Just as she feared everyone had seen Tom pull her into a classroom. Aurora knew then that word of what happened had traveled around the school and everyone knows.
She went and sat by Fred and Estelle and before they could question her Aurora said "I'll tell you both later". She had a lot on her mind. How did Tom see her and Cedric talking in the crowd? Why didn't Tom want her to talk to Cedric? Were Cedric and Tom on bad terms? Is Tom just looking out for her? And what was with that pet name? It was all so confusing. But Aurora didn't have to think about this for now. She had classes to get to.
She had reached her last class of the day. Potions with Professor Snape. Snape had never had a problem with Aurora, she had done well in his class in the past years. Her class was a half-and-half. For most classes the students are sorted by class and year and then that group is split up. But this class was a combination of Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Surprisingly the two houses got along well. Hufflepuffs were almost never a problem for Slytherin house as the puffs knew to stay out of the way.
Aurora had sat herself down at the table in the middle of the classroom. Not in the front, not in the back, not to far to the left, and not to far to the right. She was sat perfectly in the middle. She made sure to get to this class early to get this seat. Aurora had taken out her potions book and looked to her left.
And there he was. Tom Marvolo Riddle. This table was made for two students to share. There would be no one in between her and Tom for the rest of this year. Professor Snape had a very strict rule about changing tables, which was "don't". Tom had given Aurora a smile when he saw her looking at him. It wasn't an expression he often showed. He had opened his mouth.
"Looks like your stuck with me Bunny"
