the seven teens were sat in a circle on stuttering bill's living room's dusty carpeted floor. their chatter echoed through the large room and the sound of quiet pre-recorded sitcom laughter came from the television every so often. bill's parents were out of town for the weekend on a business trip so they had left bill in charge of the house because they thought he was responsible enough to take care of himself without burning the house down.
richie was leaning against stanley in his own little world while quietly munching on a handful of crisps that he had retrieved from a foil bag, which was sat between stan's legs. eddie was on bill's lap in his father's armchair, their fingers laced together and eddie's free hand was tangled in the taller male's neat hair. it was slicked to the side with a little bit of dried up hair gel but eddie didn't mind the feeling of it between his delicate little fingers. bev was sat on the floor between ben's legs, gently resting her ginger hair against his shoulder, occasionally pressing a kiss to his cheek or the side of his neck. mike was sat back on a wine-red coloured beanbag chair, beside stan and richie.
bill then piped up excitedly with an idea. “g-guys we should pl-play truth or duh-dare!!” his comment earned him a few quiet groans along with mike answering with a confident “let's do it.”
richie groaned louder than the rest of the teenagers, his body falling down onto stan's lap, the bag of crisps collapsing under his weight before he grumbled “we're not thirteen anymore bill, plus you guys always make me do the worst stuff.” stan then giggled and said “aw come on, it's not that bad chee,” richie sighed “fine!” he huffed, grabbing the bag from underneath him and throwing it onto the coffee table that sat in front of them all.
the surface of the table was covered with magazines, some half empty glasses filled with soda or other kinds of beverages. there were empty pizza boxes on top of eachother from when they all ate dinner. in the middle of the mess was a short vase with a single flower, an orange rose. the kind of orange that reminds you of the summer or watching as the sun set with your significant other or just your best friends.
eddie was chosen to go first for the game so he asked "truth or dare bev?" a sheepish smirk spread along her lips "hm..dare" the small boy thought for a moment "i dare you to send a nude to Ben." Beverly blushed profusely and laughed a little "well i don't have any saved on my phone, so i'll be right back boys. don't miss me too much." she giggled and stood up, walking into the bathroom and undressing herself before snapping a picture in the mirror. she sent it to ben which sent off a ding to his phone so he pulled it out of his pocket, shielding his screen with the palm of his hand then chuckling "yep, she definitely sent it. come back now Bev, i got it!" he called out
Beverly came back fully dressed, fixing up the skirt part of her dress while she sat back down in the pace she was before "alright truth or dare Stan?" she asked, which caused Stanley's head jerk up instantly "uh..truth"
she groaned at his response "ugh you're sooooo boring!! hm..what's your deepest darkest secret?" she questioned.
Stan sighed and took a second to think "i have a crush on a dude," he answered which earned him a pat on the back from Richie "ata boy! see Stan the man here is a fairy like me"
Stanley laughed a little "shut up dipshit. truth or dare Mike?"the game went on for another hour until eventually the clock hands on the old clock which hung on the back wall of the living room read 'seven minutes past eight' which is when Bill stated "i think you guys sh-should head home, i don't want your parents tuh-to think you've g-gone missing" he joked, a few of his friends chuckling at his joke.
they all started heading home, eddie staying behind with bill because he wanted to sleep over and the rest either cycling or walking home. as stan pushed up the bike anchor with his foot, he flinched a little as he felt a warm hand gently tap his shoulder. he turned around and smiled "oh hey rich. what's up?"
the dark haired male pushed up his large frame glasses up the bridge of his nose more, clearing his throat "uh..wanna maybe go hang out a little longer?" he questioned and stan nodded. "sure, where to?"
richie shrugged a little "uh i dunno, we could go back to my place" the taller boy suggested and the shorter male agreed so they both got onto their bikes and cycled off into the distance, in the direction of the tozier residence.they raced the entire way there, stanley occasionally overtaking richie but in the end, richard won and stan gave him a pat on the back, hopping off his bike and following his friend inside the house, up to his bedroom.
