"Life always seems perfect until reality hits you like a train"
"How did you sleep?" You asked as you went downstairs and saw Atsumu already sitting on the terrace.
At first when you woke up and couldn't feel his warm hand on yours anymore you panicked but then figured that he probably must have gone home.
You were surprised when you saw him peacefully sitting on the wooden terrace, like you also used to do when you were a child.
"Pretty good." He replied as you sat down next to him.
You were about to apologize for the night when he cut you off before you could even start talking."Don't you dare apologize for throwing up, thats not ya fault and yer know it!" He said with a stern voice and expression.
"Ok..." you muttered.
"Then thank you for staying with me.""No, thank you for accepting my help and letting me stay with you." The setter replied with a grin.
"You wanna eat breakfast? I mean why do I even ask, I don't accept a no, there's a pretty good waffle restaurant in town..." Atsumu said.
"Ok, my treat. No arguing, you don't have money with you anyway and I owe you." You said and quickly went upstairs to get changed while Atsumu just stayed in the clothes he had slept in which were just a pair of shorts and a black shirt.
You quickly threw on a summery dress and some sneakers and then rushed downstairs.
"Oooohhh, pretty~" Atsumu said as he looked at you from head to toe.
"Thank you." You said as your cheeks turned a little pinkish.
"This looks so tasty!" You squealed as the waitress brought you your food. The two of you silently started to devour your meals and once again you were surprised by how much food could fit into Atsumus stomach.
This man really ate enough food for a whole family."How long will you stay in Hyogo?" He asked out of the blue.
"I'll leave tomorrow morning, then I'll be in Miyagi for three days until I will fly to New York to spend a week with my mother..."
"Doesn't sound like you're looking forward to it."
"Well...my mother is a....special woman. How should I explain it...she always had a saying...'if people tell you that you are the fox eating the chickens then be the wolf that kills the fox'"
Atsumu looked confused by your mothers weird saying.
"Its like Im the fox but she's not the wolf, she's the big bear living in the forest that kills everything. When I'm next to her I feel small and vulnerable, every mistake gets called out by her. A fox doesn't stand a chance against a bear in a fight, so when my mother wants me to do something, there's no point in arguing."
