End of Last Chapter Recap

She heard a voice.

A voice within her head.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕞𝕓𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕘 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝 𝕤𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞𝕖𝕕, 𝕒𝕤 𝕒 𝕙𝕚𝕘𝕙 𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕤𝕒𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕒 𝕓𝕣𝕠𝕜𝕖𝕟 𝕞𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕔 𝕓𝕠𝕩 𝕚𝕟 𝕙𝕖𝕣 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕕. (y/n) groans in unsuspected agony as a harsh voice hisses inside of her pounding skull.

You know what will come.

You are the key to the prophecy that lies within the stone walls.

He is to return, stay with the chosen one. He will need you.

"Stop! Get out," she tries to yell, but the message only comes out as a hoarse whisper. As the voice recedes, she collapses onto her hands and knees, trying regain control of her mind and breathing. She dizzily looks around, noticing the black dog from earlier that she had just seen in the distance was slowly running towards her with a sense of determination. Too weak to back away, she stays put, hoping the stray means no harm. It cautiously takes small steps towards her as it got close, gently placing a paw on her hand that was buried beneath the fresh winter snow. She gives it a small gentle smile, to which the dog licks her face, in turn ridding of her salty tears. Tears she hadn't even realised had fallen. (y/n) tenderly pets the dogs damp snowflake littered fur, slowly standing as she regains strength.

The Gryffindor thinks about what events just unfolded, collapsing back into the darkness of her mind. She had to make things right. The dangers in her mind were enough to deal with, she needed the trio to keep her sane. (y/n) headed back to the Hogwarts castle, the bright Sun dimming indicating that it was close to dinner. She nervously stood before the Great Hall doors, seeming like as soon as her cold foot touch the inside perimeter of the room, all eyes were on her. Judging her. Eyes on the floor the whole time, she slowly raised them, fearful of meeting the trios. As suspected, all three were staring at her with hurt in their eyes, not anger. All (y/n) wanted to do was run down the aisle at full speed and hug them, say she was sorry. Instead she made eye contact with Harry, his mouth slightly parted, eyes glazed over as neither one intended to break the staring anytime soon. Sadness overwhelming her fragile being, the girl slowly closed her eyes whilst continuing to turn around on her heels, heading right to her dormitory. She was willing to miss her dinner if it meant not having to sit in awkward silence while her best friends burned holes into her head with hatred and betrayal.

(y/n) collapsed in her bed, letting out the broken sobs she tries so hard to keep in. The tears expressed from sadness turned into blank stares of nothingness as she laid there numb. I need him, she thinks, without him I don't even know how to be me. Without him I feel like nothing. She lets out an amused sigh at the idea of a thirteen year old boy having such an affect on her, telling herself she's being dramatic. (y/n) tenses up at the sound of the creaking oak door of the dormitory. She can picture Hermione standing still, staring at (y/n) with that saddened look on her face. Hermione sniffles, climbing into her own bed as the two girls go to sleep, both thinking of how much they needed each other.
