Hatake Flower
05 { water fight }Ever since the time she showed off her Chesire Eyes for her father, he's decided to keep her close. She didn't mind, it meant she got to spend more time with the man and she didn't have to watch the two boys of Team Seven bicker with each other! She is, however, just a little offended that he thinks she'll terrorize civilians if he wasn't keeping an eye on her.
As if she'd do anything without permission! Honestly! She was raised, twice, better than that. She isn't some hooligan.
She is a little miffed though that she wasn't allowed to go with Sasuke to wake up Naruto. She missed her chance of meeting Haku again! Naruto had fallen asleep in the forest after storming out during dinner. It was really exciting to have a front row seat to the blonde's soon-to-be-infamous Talk-no-jutsu. She even took notes!
Sure, her father confiscated the notes but that's okay, she's sure he'll give them back once he understands.
But now it's time! It's been a full week since she found her father and his team. Which means it's been a full week since his battle with Zabuza. Which means it's time for the rematch on the bridge!
Azami is so excited that she's bouncing in her seat at the dining table. She can feel the suspicious stare her father is giving her, and the annoyed stares that Sasuke and Sakura are shooting, and the amused if confused stares the civilian family is sending her way.
"Something amazing is going to happen today," she intones seriously with a grin, leaning over so only her father can hear.
He hums, "Is that so? What makes you say so?"
Her grin widens in response. It took some time but now her father doesn't try to block off all conversation with her. He finally learned that it'll do nothing to deter or shut her up! Tobi-oji would be clapping in pride, she's sure.
"I can feel it in the air," she giggles. "The universe speaks to me."
And now she's being given judgemental stares. "Uh huh, sure."
She sniffs, turning her nose up in the other direction dramatically. "You doubt now but soon, soon, you'll see the truth. All lost souls eventually find the path meant for them."
"What."
"What," she curls her toes, tilting her head innocently. She knows he's wondering about her small statement but not even she knows where it came from. But it sounded cool so she'll pretend she knows what she was talking about.
Kakashi sighs, turning away as he mutters, "Nevermind."
He may have been observing her the entire week but she still confuses him. Once, in the middle of the night, he found her in the dining area staring pensively at a pile of stones and sticks. They were neatly arched out in front of her, looking oddly like she was having some sort of meeting. It didn't help that she would nod at a stone then pick it up and hold it to her ear for a minute, hold it to her mouth and whisper, and put it back in its place. She did that for each of them.
He was too tired to question it and too afraid of the answer to bring it up in the morning. He's perfectly content being ignorant, thank you very much.
Now she's speaking cryptically and he really doesn't want to unbox the meaning behind her words. Instead he turns his attention to everyone in the room. Tsunami has already spread out breakfast, smiling happily as everyone eats. Naruto had overworked himself again and is sleeping like a log in the room upstairs.
His blond genin will have to stay here for the day to rest up. And Sasuke looks to be flagging so he'll have to stop him from training today. Which means he'll be taking Sasuke, Sakura, and Azami with him to guard Tazuna.
