Taking a hard look at the village below his window, he could spot little people doing their daily tasks. The prince sat closer to the window to get a better view, wanting to watch the scenery a little longer.

It was peaceful until the prince was startled by the booming knocks that echoed throughout his bedroom. With a sigh he slowly sat up and walked to the door, he opened it to see a tall angry man glare at him; his father the king.

"Today you kneed to be on your best behavior. . . Understood" the prince gave a small nod. The older man grunted, snapping his fingers a maid walked into the prince's room, heading for his closet. Both king and prince didn't break eye contact as the maid walked past.

"No fooling around,  you need to make a good impression." He inched his upper body forward leaving little room in between their faces. "Do I make myself clear" he spoke in a low but demanding voice, it was a threat that should've been takin seriously. With that the older man walked away. Prince toya slowly turned to face the maid who was currently placing his clothes neatly onto the end of his bed, when the maid finished she turned to the prince and gave a small bow before leaving; usually the maids would dress them but toya was known for fighting with them if they tried. The prince gave her a small nod, waiting until she was down the hall from his room.

Closing his door he let out a heavy Sigh; today was a big day for the royal family, it was the day that the eldest todoroki would be engaged.

"The royal himiko family will be arriving soon to sign the agreement and will leave the day after tomorrow" the butler stated, before bowing. It was then that enji nodded his head with a small sound of acknowledgment before turning to his left to see toya, who was currently slouched in his throne.

"Sit up straight" enji told toya. Toya rolled his eyes but straightened up anyways. It was a long mourning for toya, having to help his father with work. Not that this wasn't a common occurrence, enji has been making toya do all of this because of his engagement. He was supposed to take over the throne soon, every forty years after the king is crowned he should pass it down to the next heir, this way there is no worry of the ruler being too old to do their job, this rule cannot be changed, but past rulers have found a loop.

Toya knew that when he would be crowned king that his father would secretly be running things behind closed doors. It was all a show for the public so there wouldn't be any protests, boycotts, and or riots.

It's was only a few hours before the wedding; toya quickly made his way to his room, making almost no effort to be quiet. He had to work fast, grabbing a bag that was hidden under a floor board which had all of the necessities that he could get his hands on. Quickly turning the corner only to bump into an undoubtably beautiful young women; she has silky blond hair that was styled into two hair buns with the front of her hairs framing her face, her skin looked unbelievably clear and soft, she had timid and innocent look but toya could tell it was a facade.

"Oh I am terribly sorry" she spoke in a soft voice while giving a small curtsy. Toys knew who she was, she was princess toga, the one he was supposed to marry.

Toya couldn't continue his escape with the princess seeing her, it was too risky, but what was toya supposed to do?

"You're prince toya correct? What are you doing with a bag?" the princess asked. Toya looked around them to make sure no one was around before pulling her in to whisper in her ear.

"Do you want to go through with the marriage . . . Don't lie." It was risky to bring her into this escape but it was his only choice.

"No" it was a quick and honest answer.
