Y/N wants to stand elsewhere on the bus because wonwoo is too close but he tells her to stay put. The bus jostles and she falls back onto him. The entire time he stays right behind her. After they get off the bus, she asks him if there’s something he wants to tell her. She’s anticipating something romantic because of his actions. He really does have something to tell her
Wonwoo : there’s a turtle drawn on her back. It’s that troublemaker from art class.
The next day, the kid puts a mouse inside her shirt. That’s evil. Wonwoo quickly runs over to help. He has his palm on her chest. He’s caught the mouse but the mouse is still caught in her shirt. In the middle of class, the two teachers huddle in a corner to discuss how to get the mouse out. He tells her to open her shirt a bit and she tells him to close his eyes. Awkwardly, they manage to get the mouse out. After school, Y/N is desperate to avoid him but he just wanted to tell her it’s raining outside. He gives her his umbrella meanwhile he leaves without one. Y/N runs after him with the umbrella to share with him. He counters, "Are you done dodging me?" She cutely denies she ever did.
Wonwoo tells Y/N to come closer under the umbrella. He also lifts her up to help her dodge obstacles on the ground. Well, that’s cute. He tries to change up the atmosphere by rushing to take the taxi but she pulls his shirt to tell him to slow down. His legs are too long for hers to catch up.
The next day, wonwoo’s friends tease wonwoo and Y/N . Hoshi asks Y/N if it was her who was sharing an umbrella with wonwoo . She denies it. A jealous wonwoo is within earshot and loudly reminds Y/n to return the umbrella they used yesterday. Lie exposed.
Y/N is upset because she lost a kid under her watch. She’s lectured by the director. Wonwoo lifts her mood by taking her balloon popping. He gets up real close to her to teach her how to shoot. Her heart flutters and her mood does indeed improve.
Is it because of the balloon popping or because of him?
The troublemaker apologizes to Y/N with a cute picture. In the drawing, he’s bowing to her. Y/N smiles. The kid does too. It was thanks to wonwoo that the kid is good to her. Y/N asks wonwoo why he’s helping her this time. There isn’t a reason to. She’s trying to make him say he’s helping her because he likes her. He avoids answering her. Lucky for him, the photographer is here to take pictures of them because their class won first place in an art contest.
The photographer tells them to be closer. Y/N listens by bending at her waist. Her foot is planted on the same spot. Wonwoo pulls her closer and makes her head rest on his chest. Now they’re just unnecessarily close, lol. Not complaining. There’s a celebration dinner at work. Y/N doesn’t want to go because she doesn’t want to get drunk again. Wonwoo doesn’t want to go because jennie is there. They skip out on dinner together. She asks him how they’re going to return to their dorms. Walk. He wants to spend more time with her. Eventually he takes her to his high school. She keeps pestering him why he would take her here. He doesn’t answer her. He leads the conversation by telling her that the path of art is a lonely one. It requires perseverance. This makes Y/N think back to her choices and how if it wasn’t for him, she would have transferred her major by now. But then she did break his sculpture. She calls it even. Wonwoo calls it fate.
Y/n thinks long and hard about wonwoo's “fated” comment. The next morning, she has her answer. It’s not fated to be (i.e. not set in stone). She can still change her fate for her major unlike him whose sculpture already broke. He’s absolutely disappointed in her for interpreting his “fate” comment in that idiotic way. He calls her a pig.
Jennie asks Y/N why she didn't show up for dinner. If not for her, jennie wouldn't have went. The way she words it makes Y/N feel guilty. Wonwoo stands up for her to not accuse Y/N for her own decision. When jennie leaves, Y/N asks wonwoo if he was standing up for her. He tells her to guess. She still doesn't know.
When wonwoo learns jennie invited Y/N to her birthday party, wonwoo asks her what her motives are. She says she doesn’t have any. She just wants him to attend. Later that day, wonwoo asks Y/N for dinner. She tells him she's busy tonight though. He just casually asked her on a date and she just casually rejected.... Sigh. He asks her what she's up to tonight. Y/n is like, "You're suddenly curious about me, perhaps..." Before she finishes her sentence, he tells her bye. Ha. She flings her garbage bag at him.
Y/N shows up at the birthday party. Wonwoo is there too. He looks pretty angry at being there, heh. She's making her way across the seats and wonwoo stops her with his leg. He pulls her down onto his lap and demands she sit with him. He smirks at successfully making her awkward. When someone offers her beer, he changes it to juice in front of everyone. They then play a game of truth and dare. Y/N is asked if there's someone she likes. Wonwoo is eagerly waiting for her to say it's him but she tells everyone she doesn't have someone she likes.
Dk (the boy who likes jennie) purposely misleads Y/N into thinking wonwoo used to like Jennie . And the purpose of that is...? Thankfully, Y/n overhears Jennie confronting wonwoo for appearing at her birthday party only because of Y/n.
Y/N is slightly relieved but when jennie tearfully asks her what she can do to make wonwoo love her, Y/N feels bad for her.On their way back to the dorm, Y/N asks wonwoo about Jennie . She learns they never dated but that she liked him for a long time. Later that night he texts her to ask if she's still awake. It takes her forever to think of the perfect reply. Her reply is: "I am sleeping". A polite wonwoo texts her back that he won't bother her then. Y/N is disappointed. Do boys actually pass this test? I'd personally find it annoying to be bothered after I say I'm sleeping but then I wouldn't text them I'm sleeping when I'm actually sleeping. So I guess her logic is if she texts him she's sleeping, she's not actually sleeping.
Hoshi wins his rowing competition. He publicly thanks a girl for always being there for him. He doesn’t name her but it’s obviously Y/N . Wonwoo sees the video and he's bothered by it the entire night. He calls her that night but she's on the phone with hoshi . She quickly calls wonwoo back but his phone is busy. Call again?
Seungkwan helps wonwoo investigate into hoshi's mysterious girl by asking Y/N's friend. The friend conveniently tells seungkwan that to win a girl over, the man needs to be aggressive. He needs to constantly appear within her line of vision. Wonwoo walks closer to hear this valuable piece of advice. He puts it into action but when such a tall guy looms over Y/N , she admits to being uncomfortable. This wasn't the result wonwoo wanted. Awkwardly, he leaves. But she calls him back to help her fix her swan sculpture. He tries to contain his happiness but soon that happiness is gone when he learns that she's busy these days trying to help hoshi's raise money. Upset, wonwoo purposely destroys her swans. However, he's actually helping her. The dead swan sculpture earns a high praise from the professor. Ha.
