Wonwoo senses something is off with Y/N. He purposely visits her and comforts her about her friends. He tells her she did handle it poorly but if she cares about her friends, she should apologize properly. Y/n smiles up at him admiringly. He’s saying the exact thing she needs to hear.

Y/n apologizes but none of her friends are willing to forgive her. She’s set to celebrate her birthday alone. Wonwoo happily offers himself to her tonight. Y/n calls him out for taking advantage of her situation. He admits immediately that he is. He’ll wait for at 8pm. Y/n says she'll consider it. She’s not quite in the mood for it. When she’s back in the dorm, her friends have planned a surprise party for her. They were pretending to be angry at her this entire time. Y/n tears up and celebrates with her friends. She almost forgot about wonwoo . She calls to tell him all about it. She apologizes she won’t make it in time at eight. He smiles while listening to her ramble on and on. He asks her, “Then can I make an appointment with you at 9 to allow me to celebrate it with you individually?” Aw he’s sitting there waiting for her so patiently.

Y/n asks him excitedly what he has planned for her. Wonwoo says he doesn’t quite like those over the top events. He prefers to be direct. Lies.
He takes a step forward, “Do you want to consider being my girlfriend?” She’s like Does that mean what I think it means. What else can it mean?? She lectures him for being overly simple with his confession. She pouts that she won’t consider it. Wonwoo takes her wrist and gives her a bracelet. It’s handmade. He picked yellow crystals because that’s her lucky rock. He then takes her hand in both his and wishes her a happy birthday. She’s moved but that bracelet really isn’t the prettiest thing out there. She’s waiting for him to confess again but after being refused he smiles and says he can wait. OMG. Fool. Y/n flattens her lips together and forces a smile, “You sure are amazing.”

The night is still young though. She hints to him that there are some words he can repeat to her. He’s like...happy birthday? That’s it. She leaves. He grabs her back. He reminds her that since hoshi got a picture of her and his present, he wants the same too. He grabs her hand to take a selfie with the bracelet. Y/n wants him to stop messing around and turns away from him. He questions her if she really won’t turn around. She won’t. So he makes her by telling her that her back isn’t pretty. Angrily, she spins around but the anger sizzles. He puts a rose right in front of her, “Y/n, my little classmate, will you be my girlfriend.” Yuan Qian finally gives a yes, “Mm! I’ll give you a trial period!”

Although these two are official, Y/n is reminded of jennie’s depression (over wonwoo). Y/n feels bad and tells wonwoo to keep quiet about their relationship. Wonwoo thinks it’s because of hoshii. Y/n sighs and texts him back that they have to be kinder to people who don’t get to eat the meat. It’s a Chinese idiom. Qin Shen grumpily replies, “I didn’t eat any meat.” That’s true too, haha.

Y/n and wonwoo have a date at the library. He tells her to focus on reading and not him. He turns her head away and pinches her ears affectionately. She’s still smiling brightly at him until hoshi calls. Wonwoo is listening in on the call. He’s so jealous he won’t even let her watch hoshi on TV.

The moment hoshi is back, wonwoo and him are battling it out with basketball. It’s not just winning the game that matters. It’s all about Y/n.

Hoshi wants Y/n to be on the cheerleading team but wonwoo is vehemently against it. Hoshi asks him who he is to decide for her. He’s like “I am her... classmate.” Intimate classmate. Lol.

The one person who Y/n wanted to keep her relationship from is the first person to find out. Jennie knows after spotting them being intimate.

Wonwoo discovers that Y/n is hiding their relationship all for jennie .  He wants her to fix this in one day. He wants the proper right to be her boyfriend. But how does one fix depression in one day? How does Y/n even want to solve this to begin with? Next time when Y/n wants to eat with him, he reminds her he's only a trainee boyfriend who's in a secret relationship with her. He refuses her lunch date offer. He's having his sweet revenge on her by making her jealous.

Wonwoo calls Y/n to see if she's angry with how he handled the girl at the canteen. Y/n picks up the call and immediately calls him Mom because ireane is right next to her. He threatens her that if she doesn't give him his proper title as his boyfriend he'll keep giving her attitude like that. But still he asks her for a movie date. And threatens her to accept it otherwise he'll tell his friends. With ireane at her side, Y/n agrees to her "mom" that yes she'll be back for New Years.

Before the movie starts, wonwoo holds onto Y/N's hand. However, she flings off his hand the moment she sees a familiar peer. Wonwoo walks off on her. She tries to mend the situation by telling him since the theatres is dark he can do whatever he wants to her in there. Wonwoo is taken aback. When she's not looking he laughs at her. His revenge isn't quite over yet. At the movies, he purposely bought tickets that are on opposite aisles. He's not letting her sit near him. She sends him countless messages and he only replies with one: watch the movie.

On their way back to the dorm, she purposely glides her hand across his. He's being aloof. She then smacks her palm in his. He smirks and holds her hand. But when he sees a random person who's not a peer, he shakes off her hand. Y/n is getting a dose of her own medicine. Laughing now, wonwoo playfully chases after his angry girlfriend. She gives in and hugs him. They give each other a cute nose rub. With their heights, they really can't kiss each other while standing on level ground, lol.

Y/n is accepted into the painting major. She's elated but there's a sense of dejection too. She's grown to love sculpture and will miss it dearly. Wonwoo comforts her that she should choose what she loves. If painting is her passion, he will support her. He also comments how she's naturally talented in sculpture as well. Y/n smiles at his words. These two lovebirds proceed to nudge cheeks now.

The friends have planned a trip together at a heritage villa for a few days. Wonwoo wanted to spend it alone with her but she convinces him to hang out as a group instead because it would be weird if she didn't join her friends. On the bus ride there, wonwoo pats his shoulder to let Y/n sleep there. Shyly, she takes his offer. But when her friends mention wonwoo's name she quickly separates from him as far as her seat can allow her to.

The girls dress up in traditional costumes. Wonwoo joins in with his own costume after seeing Y/n's enthusiasm. Now I really want to see this guy in a period drama. Y/n falls a bit more in love with him. The long flowy sleeves also help him hide his hands when he secretly takes her hand. He also secretly leads her astray from the group to hang out with her alone but he’s always curtailed by her friends.
