Getting the Note

Hey, guys before you start reading this chapter the picture above is what McKenna looks like.
P.O.V- Kashia

I woke up around 6 and decided that I would just get reading now to avoid my parents. I had a feeling that they weren't done talking yesterday but I wasn't ready to hear anything else.

I got ready at a normal pace, but it felt like it took forever. Before I left I wrote a note for my parents. Heck, I didn't even know if I was allowed to call them that anymore. When I pulled into the school parking lot I got out and looked around for Kenna's car.

When I spotted it she was just getting out.

She always comes to school early because of her mom. Ever since her dad died her mom has been really rude and super distant. She tries to spend as little time at home as possible.

As soon as she sees me she runs over and starts questioning me.

"Why didn't you answer any of my texts last night?!?" I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone about what happened yet so I told her I was busy and would catch up with her later.

With that said I walked away with her calling my name. I felt a little bad, but with everyone's emotions pouring into me I was a little overwhelmed. I walked straight to first hour, not even bothering to stop by my locker. I just wasn't in the mood today.

The day went by very slowly and I was grateful for that. McKenna kept trying to get my attention all day but I kept ignoring her.

I started feeling really bad about it by the time the bell to excuse us from last hour rang.

I decided to talk to her about it when she came over later. While sending her a quick text I walked to my car. When I finished the text and pressed send I slipped into the drivers seat of my car and started it.

When I pulled into the driveway both of the cars were parked but I didn't feel anyone's emotions except for my own. I could tell something was wrong.

I bounded up the front steps and saw an envelope taped to the door. I grabbed the envelope and headed inside. When I made it into the living room I ripped the envelope open to see that it was addressed to me.

Dear Kashia,
We have all of your parents. Yes, we have both your birth and your adoptive parents. We also know that you can control water and we need something from you. Before I tell you what that is i'm going to tell you a little bit more about your self. You are destined to be one of the five leaders of the elemental realm. When you find your mate you will be even more powerful than you are now. We know that you haven't any idea what we are talking about and that's ok. You will find out over time. You are an elemental. These are one of the supernatural creatures that can control one of the 4 elements: earth, wind, water, and fire. To help you find your mate we will tell you what to look for. When you find him you will be able to read his mind and talk to him without actually speaking. Now to get to the point as to what I want from you. We simply want you on our side. When you come to our side your parents will be free to go. To get to us come to the bookstore a mile from your house and ask to speak to Clint. If you take to long I will be in touch with you personally.
