'Do it now or you die'

Ok, guys so I know the description says mates and romance, and I will get to that. I just don't want to rush anything so it's taking a little longer than some of you would like, and for that I am sorry. P.O.V- Kashia

"What do you mean you know?!? McKenna, please tell me it's April 1st." I asked in my absolutely amazing 'do it now or die' voice.

I slowly turned around to find McKenna gone. Oh no she didn't!

"McKenna Alestair! Where are you?" I searched the whole upstairs and she wasn't there. Running down the stairs two at a time is not as easy as it looks. Then I heard a loud crash and Kenna crying out. I was in the kitchen by the time I heard a car zooming away.

"Kenna?" I whispered to no one in particular.

"Kenna..... now would be a good time to come out now." When I didn't hear a reply I took that as a sign that she wasn't here.

Holy crap! Maybe she was in that car that sped away. I walked to the garage to check if her car was there. Sure enough, it was.

Then what could have happened?

I must have walked past the entertainment center 5 times before I noticed it. Of course, it's another note from the changing. Perfect timing! Ripping the note off the entertainment center with as much force as I could muster up probably left a scratch from the tape.

Dear Kashia,
I told you to come to the bookstore and if you didn't then there would be consequences. I have noticed your friend McKenna looks important to you. This is a repeating pattern. The changing will keep taking loved ones away from you if you don't cooperate by our rules. So, I have come up with a new plan. Meet me at the abandoned sewer plant tomorrow at 3. Come alone.
