JJ's POV.
I was having a lazy saturday on the sofa watching horse races when my phone started ringing.
"Hello?" I answered it.
"JJ, this is Jaymi," he yelled into the phone and I held it away from my ear but was still able to hear him, "Josh is in line, too!"
"Hi there," I heard Josh's voice, "Jaymi found a salvation for our problem!"
"What?" I sat up straight, "Did you teach yourself how to play the guitar or has a miracle happened?"
"Must be the miracle," Josh giggled.
"I actually did teach myself to play the guitar, lad!" Jaymi said.
"Thats not true," I heard Pia's voice in the background.
"Shut up," Jaymi shouted.
I laughed, "hi Pia."
"She can't hear you," Jaymi said, sounding annoyed.
"What did he say?" Pia's voice again.
"He said Hi," Jaymi snored.
"Who?" Pia asked again and I laughed at the picture of Jaymi being super annoyed and Pia not getting anything.
"JJ," Jaymi said, "now go, you're annoying!"
"You're a shit brother, it was my idea!" She protested.
"Oh my gosh," Jaymi sounded really pissed, "then tell them yourself."
There were rattling noises and then Pia came on the phone, "Hi boys!"
"Hi," Josh said impatiently, "can someone please tell JJ and me whats going on?"
"I have found someone who's gonna play the guitar on your gig!" Pia said excitedly and giggled.
"Who?" I asked and hoped for a good answer.
"Do you guys remember George?"
"Sure," Josh said hesitatingly, "He's gonna play for us?"
"Yes, he is," Pia cheered, "isn't that amazing! He's so good at playing the guitar and his voice is great, too!"
"Thats amazing!" I shouted and got off the sofa, "when are we going to meet up with him to rehearse?"
"I don't know," Pia said, "I think it's best if you call him! We've got to get back to the dinner, George's mum is a brilliant cook!"
"Alright," Josh said, "tell Jaymi to call us later."
"Will do," Pia said, "bye"
I hung up and put my phone down. To be honest I didn't believe that the gig was going to take place. I mean our situation was hopeless. I remembered George telling us that he was also making music when we first met him at Jaymi's but I didn't think he was an option.
"Jamie," my mum came into the living room, "Your Dad is on the phone. He wants to know whether you're going to be on the Ranch next weekend or not."
"Oh gosh," I totally forgot that my Dad had asked me to come to another training next weekend, "Tell him I can't make it!"
I confirmed his request because I thought the gig wasn't happening and my Dad was a very strict trainer.
My Mum rolled her eyes, "JJ? Why?"
I sighed, "Me and the boys are doing a gig in Rosegarden."
She nodded, "He's doing a gig in Rosegarden."
I could hear my Dads voice on the other line silently but I could hear that he was upset. My Mum frowned and shook her head, "Well, I can't force him to do anything. He is 24, Philipp."
My Dad said something else and my Mum just hung up, "Your Dad is not very delighted."
"I'm so sorry," I said and got up, "Do you want me to call him and talk to him?"
"No," she sighed and touched her forehead.
"Are you having a headache again?" I asked her and put a hand on her shoulder. In the past few months she has had these weird migraines and I started to get worried about it.
"I might take a nap," she said and touched my hand on her shoulder, "Look after your sister when she comes home from her ballet training, will you?"
I nodded and she left the room. My sister Krista and me were typical siblings. Which means we fight 24/7 but we'd do everything for each other in the same place. So I decided to make some ice cream for her just for the joy of this day and the good news I had just heard.
