Juyeon awoke with a sigh and to the sound of his alarm clock blaring throughout the room. He turned off the device with a grunt, proceeding to lay in his bed and do nothing but stare at the wall for another 5 minutes. Juyeon hated waking up sometimes, who doesn't?
After mentally bullying himself to get up, he finally pulled himself from the comfort of his bed and trudged to his bathroom for a quick shower. Like every other day, he had a washed, ate his breakfast, and packed his bags for school. Like every other day, he walked to school, zoned out for half his classes, and left with his friends once the final bell rang. And like every other day, the team excitedly entered the ice skating rink with their gear, ready to play.
But today was different, because today, when the six boys rushed into the rink, the ice was already occupied. There was a figure skating duo, practicing and enticing routine like there was no tomorrow. One was a tall boy with a buff build and long black hair, the other being a thin pink haired boy that Juyeon just couldn't seem to take his eyes off of.
The way the boy moved across the ice with ease. The way his face relaxed when he skated, proving that the sport came easy to him. And his features? Don't even get him started on his features. His figure was slim and feminine, his face was gorgeous, spotless and doll like in a way, and his subconscious mannerisms just made him all the more attractive. The way he occasionally let his eyes close when he drifted across the ice. The way his lips parted so he didn't run out of breath. He was ethereal.
Juyeon would have stood there for hours with eyes wide and his mouth hanging open dumbly if it wasn't for-
"Juyeon? You good?" Hyunjae asked with a light, amused chuckle.
"What?- Yeah, yeah, I'm fine" Juyeon replied absentmindedly.
Blinking a few times and turning to watch the two skaters again, Juyeon came back down from his thoughts.
"Do you guys know them?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"No, why? Should we?" Haknyeon questioned with the tilt of his head.
"No.. Just asking" Juyeon spoke quietly.
As much as he hated to admitted it, Juyeon was entranced by the figure skater again, only snapping out of it when their music stopped.
"Oh! I'm sorry- We didn't see you come in" The black haired skater apologized.
"No, no! Don't be! We don't mind the wait" Sangyeon waved his hands dismissively.
Despite the conversation taking place, Juyeon's eyes still remained on the doll like boy who stood still on the ice. The boy was eyeing the team, almost judgmentally.
That was when his eyes met Juyeon's for the first time.
Juyeon felt like his heart skipped a beat and suddenly, the ground was the most interesting thing in the room. For the life of him, Juyeon couldn't seem to lift his eyes to meet the sharp gaze of the other male. Maybe he should tune into the conversation at hand now, he figured.
"My name is Jaechan and this is my partner Chanhee. We're practicing for an upcoming competition" The boy explained.
Chanhee huh? A pretty name to suit a pretty boy.
"Oh really? That's so cool! With skill like that I don't doubt you two have this in the bag!" Haknyeon chimed in.
That earned a shy laugh from the Jaechan fellow.
"Well I'm Sangyeon and the six of us are hockey team, as you can tell. We come here for practice a lot" He explained "This is Hyunjae, Juyeon, Haknyeon, Eric and Jacob".
"Well it's a pleasure to-"
"I'm gonna go get dressed" Chanhee finally spoke up.
Sure it was a hardly audible mumble, but he spoke none the less. Even his voice was pretty to Juyeon.
"How is this guy so perfect?" Juyeon thought, paying no mind to the pretty boys rudeness.
Juyeon watched Chanhee walked off with his ice skates in his hand, not sparing them another glance.
"I'm sorry about him. He's tired- He gets moody when he's tired" Jaechan smiled, awkwardly rubbing the nape of his neck.
"That's alright! We all have those days" Haknyeon brushed it off, as did the rest of the team.
"I should probably head out too, the ice is yours!" Jaechan said as he stepped out of the rink.
Once the two had left the team prepared for their practice session. But Juyeon's mind was else where and you can probably guess where it is at this point.
"Do you think they go to our school?" Juyeon asked.
Though the ice rink belonged to their school, it was public, anyone could use the ice rink. The other members just shrugged, not really giving the question much thought.
"I mean, it's a possibility. They look around our age but I've never seen them around before" Jacob said.
"Our school is big though and not many people come here. I think there's a pretty good chance they go here" Eric added.
Nodding slowly, Juyeon took their words into consideration. Eric had a point, their school was one of the largest in the city. It wasn't famous, but it was big. Sure, Juyeon could have been biased too, only taking Eric's words into consideration because he wanted to see Chanhee again, but points were made nonetheless.
Juyeon decided then and there that he was going to look out for Chanhee tomorrow. He was also going to get closer with him, he was sure of that.
With that thought out of the way, Juyeon and his team took their respective spots on the ice for a 3 on 3 game. Juyeon could focus on the game now, right? Juyeon should focus on the game now, right?...
Well, that was much easier said than done.
// so! jaechan is an oc. i didn't add him to the character log because i don't usually use ulzzangs for my books! If you're having a hard time imagining what he looks like though, i picture him looking something like hyungwon from mx - Theo
