You know the Alien from the movie Aliens? Big black scary thing? Yeah? No? well.. look it up. It will help paint a better picture for this one.

I was having a good time with my family. Sitting in the living room. Watching television. My Dad doing the same beside me. It got dark fast, but in dream space it seems to always work that way. We have a big sliding glass door on the back of our house, leading out from the living room. We have khaki, thick, curtains covering them. Some days we open them to let the light in. But my dad, when it comes night time, usually closes them. He's slightly paranoid that something will be watching him from the other side. And the glass acts as a one way mirror whent the inside light shines on them. Though, this time, he didn't close them all the way. He left them about a foot open, just enough for one to caught a glimmer of something lurking about outside. Or for its shadow to be cast inside.

This I do notice. A small shadow peering under the edge of the curtain. A glimpse of something outside. I am overwhelmed with the feeling that some one -or something- is watching me. I am swept away with paranoia. I am filled to the brim with dread. But the shadow moves and the feelings go with it.

It comes around again though. I can't help but feel like it was circling my house like shark around its prey. Suddenly, a light flickers, I can tell the shape and being of the- the thing.

The silhouette is of a six and a half foot tall being. Its skin, if you could even call it that, was black and slick. It had no eyes and was in no likeness of a man. It had a large head, out stretched. It had a large mouth with razor sharp teeth. I could see most of its skeletal structure, its long thin arms and all of its bones. Even its spiny tail with the point at the end.

I felt like I was making eye contact with the beast, though impossible. The immense dread that filled me was like no other time or feeling.

It leapt through the glass. I woke up.

But this was the end of the dream. It was followed by some hallucinations.

My bedroom door was half closed. I could have sworn that there was a black figure standing behind it, waiting for me. Waiting for my untimely demise. I thought that it was the end for me, that surely enough a big black spike would soon make its way under my bed and burst through my chest. I thought that, since my room is the last in my house, that it would have killed my brother or my parents first. I listened intently for the exhales of my family. As fortune would have it, I heard my dad snoring and my mom's heavy breathing.

That was the final end to the dream.
