The Virus

I was sitting in my English class room. My teacher, strangely enough turns on the television. The woman on the news said,

"Reports have said that a world-wide panic has broken out. A plague of the ---- virus has wiped out most of ---- region."

The teenagers all send wuick murmurs to each other. I'm too captivated by what is going on. In this state of my mind it had been spreading for awhile, but scientists have yet to find a cure. I listen in again.

"Researchers say that people, of all ages, with the ---- blood type may have anitbodies to cure the virus. Shuttles are being sent to every public building to pick up teenagers and citizens that are known to have it."

"All students who have the ---- blood type report to the commons immediately," the intercom sounds.

I get up to leave, but not many follow. I walk out into the hallway and the guy that i liked grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug.

"I'll miss you," he says, "be safe."

"I will," I say, "but for now I must leave."

I release him and walk away. There is a scramble when I get to the commons area. Loads of people are quickly moving around. (And I'm not joking when I say this) I saw the doctor who actor, David Tennant.

"Hey! can I get a picture with you!" I exclaim.

"Sure, lass, but we must hurry you have to get on the bus before it leaves." We quickly take a selfie together and then I text it to my friends. I head towards the door and a CDC worker is standing there.

"Name and ID please."

I hand her my school given ID.

"Ah, yes, you are on the list please take a supply bundle and get on the bus."

I take a bag. I get on the and see both of my older brothers already on there. I say hello and take the seat next to them. I open my military green sack. MREs, water bottles, general clothing, hygiene products, and a new form of haz-mat suit are in there.

"Where are they taking us?" I ask my oldest brother.

"I have no idea," he answers, "probably to some compound in the middle of nowhere."

-Here my slightly nightmarish dream ends.

*note* (----) means that that part of the dream was fuzzy and I didn't want to completely bias it. But I believe the blood type to be "O" because they are the universal donor. And this dream, though remembered so late, happened before the big Ebola out break. I have no reason to believe that they are in anyway linked.
