THE GLEE CLUB MEMBERS WEREsinging and dancing too Le Freak by Chic in the choir room as Mr.Shuester critiqued them.
Casey had never been the best dancer which explains why the girl was always 1 step behind everyone else.
"Energy, guys! It's disco. Good with the hands. John Travolta hands. All right. We're freaking out. Let's go. And up and out and down. Good. Good. Good. Good, guys." he instructed.
While they were dancing, Rachel kicked her leg up, her leg coming uncomfortably close to Mercedes' face.
"Whoa, whoa! Hell to the nah! First of all, you try to bust my face again, and I will cut you!" Mercedes threatened the girl. Rachel rolled her eyes at the girl.
"And, also, this song is terrible." Mercedes continued, now talking to Mr.Shue.
"No, no, no. It's not the song. You guys just need to get into it." Mr.Shue said. "No, it's the song. It's really gay." Kurt said. Casey and Tina looked to the boy questionably.
"We need modern music, Mr. Schue." Artie told their teacher. "I'm sorry, guys. We don't have time to discuss this. We're doing this song this Friday at the pep assembly." Casey widened her eyes at Mr.Shue.
"I- In front of the whole school?" Tina asked incredulously. Mr.Shue mistook Tina's outburst as excitement. "Exactly." Mr.Shue said, grinning ear from ear.
"No no, Mr.Shue. We can't do that, it's gonna be too embarrassing." Casey said as she started to panic.
Casey had thought about how she knew the cheerios would be at the assembly which also means that Samantha would be there too.
Casey still hadn't told her sister about being in glee club and she didn't want feel like getting a lecture about how her reputation interferes with Samantha's.
"They're gonna throw food at us. And I just had a facial." Kurt said, using his hand to motion his face. "I'll press charges if that happens." Rachel said.
"Guys. I can't express to you how important this assembly is. We need recruits. There are six of you. We need twelve to qualify for regionals. We have no choice or the club is over. I know you guys don't like this song, but we took nationals back in '93 with "Freak Out." It's a crowd-pleaser. Trust me. From the top." Mr.Shue said.
