Snuggles On A Friday Night - Star Wars Luke Drabble

Set in a Modern AU because I decided to try it and proceeded to discover that I really like Star Wars in a Modern AU for some reason so here we are. Basically like my BTTF drabble but with a different story, AU and Luke. How I do my drabbles is I basically make it a self-insert and put myself into a situation in a fandom.

Also, sorry for how cringey this is...hope it's okay. It's my first Luke one and I'm still kinda trying to nail down his character. Might post a Marty one later (because those aren't too bad) to make up for this one if it's bad.

Be prepared for some flirting/teasing/enjoying their friendship/playful banter/being a classic slow burn if there ever was one and some MAJOR snuggles (because I see Luke being the king of both slow burns and snuggles (especially once he was comfortable with someone he's interested in)).

I don't own Psych or Star Wars or dilly bars...

Yes, dilly bars.

So please don't sue.

I sit on the couch, lazily eating popcorn and wondering when in the world my friend is going to get here. I've watched three episodes of Psych already and I'm pretty sure my parents are wondering when in the world I am going to get off this couch. I finally give up and lay down on the couch. When is he going to get here? Suddenly, there's a swift knock on the door. I leap to my feet and hurry to answer it.

Luke Skywalker stands on the other side of the door.

"I know I'm late. I brought a peace offering," he says, holding up mint chocolate chip dilly bars. I eye the ice cream and move past so he can come in. The two of us move towards the kitchen.

"You're forgiven," I reply as I reach for the box, preparing to grab one out, "You really don't have to get ice cream to make me happy though. I'm just happy you're here."

"Because you doubted I was coming at all," Luke says as he grabs a bowl out of the cabinet for popcorn.

"Stop reading my mind!!!" I whine, "If you're going to do it to me, you should at least teach me how to be able to do it back."

"That's part of the fun of it," Luke replies as he walks by. I know to most people Luke seems super shy, innocent and like he can't take care of himself but trust me....he does just fine. His lightsaber dangling from his belt tells me that much. Apparently, one of his buddies from this group of friends that he has called the Rebellion, got into some trouble last week. It was sudden trouble and somehow Luke got into a street fight with a lightsaber.

I'm not worried at all that I'm going to get hurt with Luke. He'll protect me. It's not like I can't protect myself sometimes but, there's something to be said about having a guy doing the heavy lifting to keep you safe. Luke likes doing it anyways.

Speaking of him and his so-called peace offering, I struggle for a second to pull out a dilly bar. He brought over my favorite flavor too, which he knows that's what it is but he really didn't have to do that for me. He's too sweet to me. Once I pull out, I unwrap it and toss the wrapper into a trash can before walking into the living room and licking the chocolate wrapping on the dilly bar as I walk. Luke follows shortly behind with his own dilly bar in hand. I flop down on one end of the couch next to the remote and Luke flops down on the other. His eyes flick to the number of episode that this is in the season, noticing that I have watched three since the last time he was over.

"You went on without me?" he starts to whine, "Why would you leave me in the dust like that?"

"I didn't think you were coming," I retort and I see Luke starting to stare at me harshly. Not this again. Why does he feel the need to?
