The sun in Miyagi was as strong as ever. The winds coming from the beach managed to relieve the sweat that was running down people's faces. The city was again populated, individuals from various places in Japan, and even the world, passed through there after the earthquake and tsunami of 2020.
It had been eight years since that great event, which was considered the country's worst natural disaster of the 21st century.
After so long, a certain group of people had thought about meeting at their old school. The group of survivors of the Keyakizaka Women's School. They had mobilized through social networks, calls, messages, and letters so that they were all in Miyagi on the exact day that was eight years from the 2020 tragedy, exactly the day on which they had been rescued from the building. They hoped that everyone would be able to get to the city on time.
A girl was on the train from Tokyo. She was perhaps the last to arrive in Miyagi because her work ended up demanding a lot from her schedule. She was sitting on the chairs while watching the beach through the glass. It was a very beautiful morning with no clouds in the sky.
- Too bad I didn't bring my bikini - She complained when she realized she had missed the opportunity to enjoy her two days off a little
She even sweated from the clothes she wore, even though she was inside an air-conditioned place.
In less than 15 minutes, she was at the train station, getting off the train.
Yuuka was returning to Sendai after eight years.
- YUUKA-CHAN!! - A girl screamed near the station stairs
- Rena-chan!! - Yuuka responds with a big smile on her face and waves at her.
Rena runs up to the girl and gives Yuuka a tight hug, after all, it had been eight years since they had seen each other in person, they just talked through messages sometimes and it wasn't the same thing as physical contact.
- You're still beautiful, Yuuka-chan! - Rena comments moving away from Yuuka a little to admire her better.
She walks around Yuuka and continues to praise the girl. Yuuka does the same to her. Rena had become very beautiful, and in a way, Yuuka saw features in the girl that was similar to her. It looked like Rena was her younger sister.
They talked quietly about some things when, suddenly, they heard a familiar voice calling them by name
- Rena? Sugai-san? - It was Nijika. She had also arrived on the same train as Yuuka, but they were in cars far from each other.
- Nijika-san? - Yuuka commented
The three greet each other and start talking right there. They exchange a few laughs telling about their experiences in the big city.

Rena takes the two of them by car to the center of Miyagi and during the way they go talking
- Eh! The time really passed... Rena-chan is already driving - Yuuka comments with a proud smile
- It's no big deal... - Rena comments without taking her eyes off the road - My father gave me some classes and recently I managed to get my driver's license, I think this is the third time I get in his car.
They keep talking and Nijika ends up asking what Rena worked with
- I'm a teacher at our old school. I'm responsible for the discipline of History.
- Hmm... It looks interesting - Nijika complements and Rena soon continues
- And, I don't know if you heard about it, but our old school changed its name.
