- Sugai-san, please go out with me - A man bowed before the other girl.
It was night, in a park in Tokyo after a long day of work that had started at seven in the morning. It was an unusual cold in Tokyo and it looked like it was going to start snowing anytime. Yuuka was holding a coffee while the man was still bowed over towards her.
- I'm sorry, Kenshi-kun, but I can't accept it - Yuuka apologized, finally bowing towards the man who was still bowing towards her.
He finally stops bowing and Yuuka does the same. The man then begins a series of questions
- Is it because I'm not rich? Why am I not so handsome? Is it because I smoke? Maybe because I like to drink?
Yuuka denied all questions by shaking her head. The man then asks again
- Is it because I'm your student??
Yuuka couldn't stand being there in that cold anymore talking to his 30-year-old student, after all, this conversation wasn't going to take her anywhere. He was a nice student and great to talk to, but even if she wanted to, nothing would happen between them, not in a loving way.
- I like girls - Yuuka says calmly
- Eh? -The man was startled as if he didn't understand what Yuuka had said.
Luckily for him, she was calm, after all, she didn't want to stress after an already stressful day at work. Yuuka once again speaks the same sentence, but in a more incisive way so that he understood
- I'm a lesbian.
The conversation ended. Yuuka said goodbye and took the train home.
Speaking those words was much easier since she finally accepted herself, and Akane was one of the reasons she felt good about saying that nowadays. Her self-acceptance saved her life. She no longer hid what she was, well, less to the people at her old school, who still didn't know about Yuuka. Only Risa and Rena. Everyone who knew her in Tokyo knew about it, including her new best friend, Maika, and her boss, Nori.
However, even though she was fine with herself in this regard, Yuuka was unable to relate to anyone. She was no longer that antisocial person, she interacted with several people, so the problem wasn't communication. She felt good physically, after all, she hasn't changed much about the past, she just had eye surgery to correct her vision and currently used contact lenses. So, there was no reason for her not to be in love with anyone.
It turns out that Yuuka could not forget Akane in any way, and it affected her to the point that she wasn't attracted to any other woman, even though she knew she was a lesbian. She thought several women were beautiful, but they were only praised. Yuuka felt good about herself. She knew she was going to spend the rest of her life alone, but she saw no problem with that.

It was December, a few days before Christmas. Yuuka had gone to Sendai eight months ago to meet everyone at school. Rena had sent some messages sending Yuuka a "Merry Christmas", as she was going to be in a region with no signal on Christmas Day.
She was cute, certainly perfect for being her sister-in-law, if Akane was alive.
Yuuka was still at her job, setting up her table before going to lunch.
