"And then, I saw these clouds moving steadily," Corbyn said to his brothers and his father. Zach wanted to see the outside world but he can't because he's still underage. In mermaid law, only mermaids who are sixteen and above can go and see the surface area. Since Zach will turn sixteen next month, he can't wait. He loves the stories that his brothers Daniel and Corbyn tell him and their father the king Jonah. "Why are people in the outside world are not like us?" asked Zach to his father "Well Zach, the surface people are different. They have legs and we have fins. They can live and die while we can live until 300 years and dissolve into seafoam," Jonah said. As Zach's birthday came, he swam up and what he saw, amazed him. He saw a ship, what's inside the ship was a party for the celebration of Prince Jack's sixteen birthday. Lightning struck which Zach flinched, he was alarmed that there was a storm coming. Waves became bigger and bigger and got wrecked. Zach rescues the young prince and places him onshore. He looked at Jack and was immediately attracted to him. He hears footsteps and swam away from the shore. Gabriela who was strolling at the beach saw Jack and bent down to see if he's alright. Jack awoke and saw Gabbie.

Okay let's shift to Zach's side

Zach can't stop thinking about the prince. He doesn't eat nor sleep, he always thought about the prince over and over again. One day he decided to pay a visit to Christina's lair. Christina is a powerful sea witch who makes deals with mermaids to give them potions. He knocked on the door and came into her lair. He told the whole story to Christina and she said. "Well if you want to see the prince again, I will give you a potion that will turn your tail into human legs," Christina said and gave a bottle to Zach, "But, in one condition," Christina added "You must give me your voice as payment. And if you don't marry the prince or will his heart, you will die," Zach nodded and drank the potion, suddenly everything went black. As Zach opened his eyes, he saw Jack looking at him "Are you okay?" Zach tried to speak but he can't because he sold his voice to Christina for his legs. He nodded and tried to stand up, it was agony for Zach. Every time he walks with his new pair of legs, it was like walking on knives. Jack took care of Zach, he clothed him, fed him, and thought him how to walk. One ballroom night, he saw the prince dancing, even though he can't stand the pain of his legs, he still danced with the prince. Later that very night, Jack said to Zach "Be ready, because tomorrow I will be married by Gabriela, the girl who saved me from the storm," Zach was heartbroken, all the effort that he put in, was all for nothing. He's gonna die. As the wedding day came, Zach was at the edge of the boat when he hears his brothers calling for him. He saw Corbyn and Daniel holding a dagger and Daniel said. "Zach, we sold our hair to Christina to give you this dagger," He threw the dagger at Zach. Zach caught it and Corbyn said "You must kill the prince, then the blood from the dagger will drip and when it lands on your feet, you will become a mermaid and restore your voice. Zach was horrified, he doesn't want to see the prince die. Later that night, when the prince is sleeping. Zach took out the dagger and was about to kill the prince but he threw the dagger so hard that Jack woke up and Zach ran out of the room followed by Jack. As he went to the edge of the boat, Zach jumped out of the boat and dissolves into seafoam.
