You set your bags down and started to unpack. Your room was quite surprisely spacious. Your sister comes into the room. "Do you want to go into town when your done?" she asked. "You mean we can go to Bourbon Street?" you asked, excitedly. She furrowed her eyebrows. "At this time of day, no" "I was going to ask you if you wanted to see the café down the street." "They have the best coffee and bagels in town." she replied. You huffed. You wanted to experience it but you understood that your sister was just worried. You shrugged it off. "Oh alight we can go there." you said. She nods and leaves the room. You sighed. You continued to unpack. You really didn't like coffee but a bagel sounded nice, with cream cheese.
A Few Minutes Later
You went downstairs after you finished unpacking. "Mary I'm ready!" you called out. "That's great! Lets go!" she replied. You both left the apartment. Mary locked the door. You both started walking and left the building. "The café shop is about five blocks away. Its right across from the local radio station." she explained. "Wait...radio station?! You live close to one! Your so lucky! I love listening to the radio!" You said, excitedly. "Oh then your going to love Mister Alastor! Hes the most popular radio host in New Orleans and hes so charming and handsome! He sounds like an angel!" she said, blushing. She was definitely daydreaming about the man. "Really?! When does he go on air?" you asked, intrigued. She giggled. "Oh so you do want to know more about him! Alright then!" she replied. "Alastor is on air on and off all day. He goes on in the morning, afternoon, and night." she explained. You smiled. "Oh my he works so hard!" you said, surprised. You always had a fancy for a hard working man. You blushed and daydreamed as well even though you didn't know what he looked like. "Yes he does!" she said, giggling.
A Few Minutes Later
You and your sister walk into the coffee shop. You looked around. It was a cute little coffee shop. "What would you like?" Mary asked. "Just a bagel with cream cheese" you replied. It was four o'clock. You missed lunch because your flight arrived at 12:30 p.m. of all times. Your stomach growled. "Oh my you sure sound hungry!" Mary remarked, giggling. You groaned. Mary then ordered your bagel and she ordered a bagel and a coffee with 3 spoons of sugar. Your sister liked her coffee sweet. You both waited for your orders and then sat down at a table with your food. Mary sipped her coffee and you took a bite of your bagel. You hummed in approval. That was one good bagel. The coffee shop door opened. You heard a grumble. You turned your head to look at the person that just came in out of curiosity. They were a very tall man. He had brown eyes and brown fluffy short hair. He also had the biggest smile you have ever seen on his face. Can that smile go any wider? The mans vest was red and well tailored. You nudged your sisters shoulder. "Mary...pssst" you whispered. "What is it?" she asked, confused. "Look over there!" you explained. "Hes so handsome!" you said, gasping. You admired him. "Oh my..." she responded, blushing. "He is VERY handsome indeed! However, we shouldn't stare!" she said. "O-Oh your right..." you realized, looking away.
That mysterious man they were looking at was indeed handsome and he also happened to be the famous radio host, Alastor that Mary had mentioned prior. She didn't know it was him because she never saw what he looked like but she did know what his voice sounded like. That was until she heard his voice. Mary and you blushed when he spoke. Mary gasped. She couldn't believe it was him! Alastor was here in this little café! "It's him! Its Alastor!" she loudly whispered.
Alastor POV
Alastor tilted his head when he heard giggling and then he turned his head in your direction. "Hm?" "More admirers..." he said to himself, muttering in annoyance. "ugh" "I have no time for such useless nonsense!" he continued on in his own head. "What would you like mister Alastor? The usual?" the barista asked. "The usual...its been a hard day...tsk.." he then fakes a huge wide smile. His mother always used to tell him "your never full dressed without a smile!" He also loved that song. Unfortunately, she died the year prior. He got over it but it took months. He managed to make enough money at the radio station to buy a mansion near the woods. He liked the peace and quiet it provided. It was overwhelming at first. He got so popular within two years and managed to make a lot of cash. Now he was the most popular radio host in New Orleans. He loved his job but...some fans were a bit much. Alastor got the job in 1919 and has been working there ever since. The barista nodded and quickly went to make his coffee and prepare his bagel. He poured the hot liquid and didn't add sugar and gave Alastor his order. "Thank you my good friend!" Alastor said, thanking the man. The barista nodded. Alastor then turned around and went to take a seat a bit away from you and your sister. He sipped his coffee and read the paper. Alastor heard more giggling. He ignored it. "I told you its him!" Mary said, giggling some more. "You were right Mary! Alastor is so handsome!" you replied. "I only heard his voice! This is the first time I've ever seen his face!" she explained. "Well either way I look at it you were right!" you replied. Alastor looked at the both of you. "Can I help you ladies?" he asked, trying to be as polite as ever. He faked smiled. "You know its rude to stare!" he said, irritated.
