chapter 3

Aurora//

"I have been looking everywhere for you Reggie, probably the whole trip" I say as I finally spotted him in a carriage at the very end of the train

I see a look of relief flash in his eyes before I'm being attacked in a hug "thank Merlin you're okay Rory, I was searching an hour for you but gave up, I'm sorry "Regulus says

"Reggie its ok I'm fine I promise" I explain as I hug him back 

"Well, this has been very sentimental" Regulus says sarcastically "but I believe we are to arrive soon so let's go put on our robes" I nod in agreement

"Hey I'm lily I don't think I've ever seen you before, what's your name?" I hear someone say behind me, as I turn around, I'm greeted with a redheaded girl with forest green eyes looking at me with a smile plastered on her face

"Aurora Black" I say as I greet her back with a small smile

I see as her smile falters a bit "so you know Sirius Black?'' my smile drops " twin" I force out slightly angered at the mention of my twin  "so, you're a bully just like him "she says with disgust already judging me

"you don't know me how could you possibly judge me for my twin's stupid decisions" I reply boredom in my voice "now if you excuse, me I must head back to my carriage before I lose anymore brain cells talking to you"I continue, as I'm walking back to my carriage

As I'm walking to the carts with Regulus, I notice this weird type of animal pulling the carts, it has a big bony figure, and has a dragon- like face which bear, white glittering eyes that lack both expression and pupils. Overall kind of disturbing to look at, I notice how everyone else seems to be used to them because they show no signs of fear, so I just shrug it off and sit in my cart.  

A few minutes pass and we arrive in front of Hogwarts, it was huge it looked like a castle and I felt an odd sense of comfort knowing this will be my home,which i never felt at Beauxbatons  

Walking up to the castle doors I'm greeted by an elderly lady with a black pointy hat "you must be miss black I'm Professor McGonagall" the professor greets "Aurora black nice to meet you professor" I answer "now Ms. Black since you are coming in your sixth year you will be sorted first, please follow me to the great hall " she speaks walking to the front doors  

A few moments later we arrive in front of two big doors which I assume leads to the great hall "now before we go in there is a few things you should know" professor McGonagall explains, I nod for her to continue "you will walk in sit on the stool and I shall place the hat on your head'' she stops to think for a moment but continues " but I'm sure you know all about the houses so no need for me to go on" she disclosed 

It was like I just got slapped in the face, I completely forgot about my parents demanding I be in Slytherin  or suffer a worse punishment than  I got for being expelled. It was like all the nerves I got rid of suddenly came back when the doors to the great hall opened 

I walk in with my head held high not wanting people to see how nervous I am. I look to my left and catch Regulus eye as he gives me a nervous smile which I do the same. I soon sit on the stool and the hat is placed on my head

Everyone is looking at me curiously, but their expressions soon change to shocked when the hat starts to speak" Aurora black,  how I've been waiting for the third black  now were to put you definitely not Hufflepuff...hmm your head says Slytherin but it's not what you truly desire'' "what are you talking abo..." I start but get cutoff by the hat "I know!!"

I did my very best for the readers to be able to understand how  Aurora feels during the whole getting to Hogwarts experience :)

I also know I may get hate for lily, considering I made her sound like a bitch, but I dont worry she will change later in the story ;)
