By the time Colton woke up at 12 o'clock, Kayla had already been grocery shopping, taken the dogs for a walk and had her own workout and bath. When Colton did wake up, he smelt someone cooking in the kitchen and he sat up slowly, but to his surprise wasn't as hung-over as he thought he would be. He slowly walked down the stairs and walked into the kitchen scratching his head as Kayla turned around to look at him. She chuckled to herself as he glared at her and filled up a glass of water and sat on one of the stools.
"You look terrible," Kayla said as she finished making her stir-fry.
"Can you pass me an aspirin? It's in the cupboard there," he said quietly as he took her plate of stir-fry and began eating it. She grabbed the aspirin for him and then turned around to see him eating her food.
"Hey, my food! Make your own plate," she said to him as she handed him the aspirin and took her plate back from him. He put the aspirin in his mouth and took a big gulp of water and then got up to make his own plate of stir-fry.
"What are you doing today?" Colton asked as he shoveled story fry onto his plate.
"I'm not sure. Why?" She asked looking at him wondering what he was thinking.
"I have tickets for the Kings game this afternoon and then we can go to the Laker game tonight. If you want," Colton said as he sat back down on his stool. Kayla was surprised that he wanted to go with her. She loved going to the Kings games but she had never been to a Laker game.
"Sure, I would love to go," she said happily.
"Great, the Kings game is at 2 and the Laker game is at 7:30 so we can go for dinner or something in between if you want," Colton said as he concentrated on eating his food.
"Is this our weekly date night the therapist spoke to us about?" Kayla asked as she looked up at him.
"Yeah, I guess it could be. Plus it will actually be fun," Colton said smiling as he picked up his plate and put it in the dishwasher. "Are you going to eat anymore?" Kayla shook her head no and Colton put the food into a container and then put it in the fridge. Kayla was still thinking about last night when Colton defended her even though Mike wasn't doing anything wrong. Kayla had texted Mike that she was sorry about the way Colton acted but he didn't respond. Colton walked outside and went for a walk on the beach before they started getting ready for the game. Kayla was upstairs looking at her clothes when Colton walked in.
"What are you wearing?" She asked simply turning around to look at him.
"Jeans and a sweater probably," he answered as he grabbed a pair of jeans from his drawer and looked around at his t-shirts. Kayla picked out a pair of black jeans and black knee high boots and a LA Kings purple sweater and wore a small black leather jacket overtop. Her brown hair was wavy that day from when she braided it after her bath. Colton grabbed a black LA Kings t-shirt and wore a brown jacket overtop of it.
"It's going to be cold in the arena," she said to him warningly looking at him.
"Depends on where we sit," he said smiling at her. She didn't like the way he smiled at her, almost like he was planning something.
"Why are we going so early?" She asked him as she grabbed her purse and began to walk out of the closet.
"We are being dropped off at the hotel to pick up my car and then we are driving to the Staples Centre," Colton explained as he shut the light off and walked out of the closet. Kayla shook her head and began walking downstairs to the door, Colton followed her and they walked to the black Rolls Royce waiting for them. Colton opened the door for Kayla and then he walked to his side of the car and got in.
