Together - Adam & Ellie - Series Two

Boozy Brunch

F!MC POV

Today Adam and his Dad are going to a football match while I'm doing afternoon tea for me, Nina, Elaine and my Mum.

It's been a couple of days since Nina walked in on us and we neither of us, have mentioned it....

Adam collapses onto the bed next to me covering us up "MUM!!!!!" he screams.

"Oh god! I'm so sorry!!" Nina shrieks averting her eyes and leaves the room again.

Adams hands run down his face as it turns as red as a tomato. I can't help laughing "Ellie, it's not funny! It's embarrassing!"

"I'm sorry, but it is kinda funny!"

"Why didn't she think to knock?!"

"Adam, maybe because she thought we were asleep! Come on, it's not the worse thing that could happen! It's not like she doesn't know her little boy is sexually active!!"

He laughs, "You're right!" 

"I always am!" I tell him as I get up out of bed.

"Where are you going?"

"Downstairs to get that coffee she made us"

"So you don't want to finish what we started, then?" Adam winks.

"Adam, you can't be serious! Not now!"

He laughs, "OK, just give me a few minutes and I'll be down"

"You or..." I wink.

"Both!" he smirks.

"Right see you in a bit!"

Until now.... We are just walking to the shops "Ellie, I'm so sorry about the other day! I should have knocked"

I laugh, "Nina, don't worry about it! I just hope we haven't scarred you for life"

She laughs, "Well, I now know to just to wait for you both to come down for a coffee now. So, what do we need?"

I hand her the shopping list.

We are looking around the shop "Nina! How are you?" We both turn in the direction of the voice, but I already know who it is.

"Oh, Laura! I'm fine, thanks" Nina turns away, I hide a grin.

"What about Al?" she calls out.

Nina turns in her direction again "He's great! And it's Alistair to you," she turns and starts to walk away.

Laura's face turns to thunder I smile at her before catching up with Nina.

"Can you believe the nerve of that girl Ellie? Like I'm going to be all pally with her after what she did!"

I smile, "Her face was priceless!"

Nina laughs, "Let's get this shopping done before she catches up with us again"

Later we are finishing setting up the Afternoon tea when we hear a knock on the door "Ellie, I'll get it"

Nina rushes to the door "Mum!" I hear Nina call out just before Elaine walks into the dining room.

"Hi Ellie," Elaine says.

"Hiya, You alright?"

"Yeah, looking forward to this" Elaine smiles.

"Me too!" I tell her.

"I'm just glad I don't have to sit through 90 minutes of watching a football being kicked around a pitch" Nina chimes.
