Trafalgar went downstairs at the sound of Doflamingo laughing. It wasn't the usual laughs he does to suppress the anger swelling inside him. Did someone just offer him a big shot-mission? He was about to peek when Diamante blocked the way. "You're back", he looked at Trafalgar who was wearing a serious expression. "Let's go and have a talk. Doflamingo currently has a visitor", Diamante led him towards the garden.

Mansion Garden

The place was filled with purple flowers. "What are these? Peace offering for the lives you dragged down?", Trafalgar hasn't seen them when he last visited. "Doflamingo ordered a lot but I doubt he gave some thought about why", Diamante shrug off the thought and cleared his throat. "How come you're going to be the next family head. You're too suspicious to trust. You were kidnapped by Rosinante for five years. Who knows what happened during those five years", Diamante shot a glare. "I took care of him since he's always clumsy. What do you think to happen for those five years?", Trafalgar scratched his nape hoping the conversation would end.

"If you just understand the reason behind Doflamingo's decision, you will get to be more respectful towards him", Diamante sighed. "Whatever are the reasons for his decisions, people still got killed. People were still dragged into damnation", Trafalgar looked at the bellflowers. "You're really as stubborn as we first saw you. But Law, your losing rage in your eyes. Do you know how much terrifying you look like before?", Diamante passed through him. "Law, you're not the only one who was robbed of everything", the taller man whispered and left as soon as he saw someone. He smirked.

"I never told you that I will be free all the time. I'm at my friend's house. I'll call you later", the female made Trafalgar opened his eyes wide. He doesn't want to turn around and confirm his initial thought of who it could be. "Sensei!", someone called to him and he gulped. He composed himself and slowly turned in her direction. The female student is already waving her hand. "You're also here", she walked towards him. "I didn't know that there could be an interesting place like this", the lady said with amused eyes.

"Rebecca-ya, who brought you here?", Trafalgar asked. "Sorry, you might not want to see me but I was called to sign a contract. At the same time, the head of the house wanted to see me as well", Rebecca explained. Trafalgar didn't respond but just walk towards her. "Is that a dianthus?!", Rebecca bent and held the petals. "There's a lot of them growing in our place as well", Rebecca gave a wide smile. Trafalgar wasn't a fan of flowers but he just gave a look at it.

Living Room

Airi was left sitting on the couch since Doflamingo made a call and she recognized that it was an important one. She saw some photobooks piled on the cabinet. It was surprising that someone like Doflamingo would keep sentimental things. With the way that he looked, he doesn't seem to be the kind of person who would spend time looking back at the past. He's more of a person who will invest more of his time for what's going to happen next.

Doflamingo returned with a smirk on his face. "Did you win a lottery?", Airi tilted her head. "Something like that", Doflamingo chuckled. The man sat in front crossing his legs. "Did you know, young lady? At a young age, I was robbed of my family and prestige", Doflamingo informed. Airi sat straight to give respect to someone who's about to open something personal. She wasn't sure but the atmosphere suddenly changed. "I was actually supposed to live the life of a prince but my father renounced his ownership to become the heir of my grandfather's company. He decided to run from the responsibility and we lived rather ordinary. It was so normal that I was almost irritated every day if not only because of my brother who gave me amusement. Whenever I look at him, I feel the need to become stronger to protect him", Doflamingo narrated.

"Even though my father already forfeited with the privileged of being the next heir to the ownership, people won't just stop worrying that he might be interested in it again one day. We were pursued and pushed into the corner. All of his bank accounts were frozen. We were forced to live from other people's scraps. My mother can no longer adjust to the crappy life and so surrendered to death because of an illness. It was just a simple disease that could have been cured if we could just pay for her hospital bill", Doflamingo's forehead is starting to wrinkle. Airi just silently listened.

"And so, I grew up to become someone who refuses to have someone else take advantage of me. I made the connection and rose from the food-chain little by little until there's no one there to grab my neck and tell me what to do. I felt so free. I felt so safe. But then, because of someone, my dreams suddenly crumble in front of my eyes", Doflamingo had a long pause causing Airi to think that she might as well give a comment but she seemed to lack one. "Do you despise him?", Airi's mouth opened. "Not really, because of him, he was able to eradicate most of my enemies", Doflamingo smirked. "But because he caused my castles to crumble, I needed to start from zero once more. In order to do that, I need to dirty my hands once more. Who am I kidding? Once a person tainted his hands, there's no more way to atone for the sins I had committed. The more I rose from the food chain, the more I need to make more sacrifices", Doflamingo's hand shook in excitement.

"I understand", Airi nodded. Doflamingo was not expecting that response. "But one way or another, everyone is dirtied with something. Lies, deception, greediness, selfishness, and more", Airi looked outside the window and saw Trafalgar and Rebecca taking a walk in the garden. At first, she felt confused about what the two are doing in the mansion. Given some split second, she seems to get a grasp of what is happening. "Tell me Doflamingo-san, how many more people are you willing to sacrifice?", Airi stood up. "I am a greedy man. Who knows how many more", he answered.

"Thank you for telling me these things. I'll be taking my leave then", Airi gave a bow. "Till the next time", Doflamingo's expression changed. He was calmer. "I thought we could agree to some extent because we're quite similar", Doflamingo saw Airi holding on to her phone. Airi saw some people hiding at the walls using the mirror on the side. She calculated how far she could run not being tackled or even getting shot in the head. Her breathing became heavier and she started her sprint only to be caught by men wearing black clothes.

The next day,

Trafalgar woke up and saw that Kid miscalled him over a hundred times. "This man is mad", he commented and wore his sweatshirt. His phone rang again.

"What, people have their lives even if they didn't decide to continue being a doctor", Trafalgar said in irritation.

"The young lamb", Kid said over the phone panting.

"What's with that walking hazard?".

"She's been missing since last night. Her mother came to file a search mission".

"Where's the last place they've seen her?".

Trafalgar paused. Why does he seem so bothered with the news.

"Her classmate said that she separated with them on the street. She said she's visiting a friend. They already looked at the potential people who could have made contact with her. Do you know of someone else?".

Trafalgar hangs on Kid and ran towards the dining hall where everyone is gathered. "You... did you do something to Isobe Airi?", Trafalgar clenched his hands. "Took you so long to ask. If you're an hour earlier, maybe she could still be breathing", Doflamingo swallowed his food. "Why?! Why do you have to involve her with this? Didn't you tell me that our target her mother? Why do you have to make use of her as well?!", Trafalgar roared and even marched towards Doflamingo. "What are you going to do now?", Doflamingo calmly asked. "Where is she?!", Trafalgar grabbed on his collar. "Hey. What are you doing to the head? Do you think you can leave with your hands still attached to you?", Trebol stood and tried to remove Trafalgar's grip.

"She already lived such a crappy life. She has already gone through so much kidnapping. She trusted you. She tagged along because she must have seen something in you that she'd been longing for her entire life!!!", Trafalgar's veins are popping on his head.

"Heh. Why do you care that much, Law? What is the woman to you anyways?". Monet joined the conversation.

Trafalgar lets go of Doflamingo and bowed low. "Tell me, where is she?", Trafalgar couldn't imagine himself bowing low to the man he hated the most- to the man who killed Rosinante.
