After breakfast, names begin to get called one by one. I watch as 107 people walk out the door and head towards the hall accompanied by 2 nurses, one with vibrant white eyebrows and ginger hair and the other with slicked back black hair. I turn back to the 2 people behind me, a boy named Yex and a girl named Zoey, each of them look pale and frieghtened, not to mention out of this world scared. But it's ok, because it'll be over soon I assure them. As I do this a computerized voice comes over the loud speakers "Yearah" It says. I guess it's time for me to leave my life here behind now. I hope I come back but there's no way in telling, but that's life, it's judgemental and mean but we go with it, putting the stereotypes behind us, not knowing what's coming next, going to war, for no reason, trying to cure the world's problems that aren't there, trying to change but you can't, you simply grow and add things to make it better but making it worse in the mean while. Getting over things and trying to accomplish a succesful reputation, living an obstacle course.
I get up and march with my head held high, happy with how I've lived here.
"Yearah!" A nurse welcomes. "Don't be scared dear, take a seat." I sit and look up at the nurse who's blonde hair illuminates her shockingly blue eyes. It's funny to say that this lady who doesn't even know me is probably the nicest nurse I've ever met. "Are you ready? In three... Two... One." Before I can comprehend what is going on the floor begins to fall beneath me. I scream as I watch the hole of light disappear and before I know it, I'm standing on solid ground, the chair simply missing. "Where the hell am I?" I cry out. Bright lights flash on and leave my eyes in distress. "God damn it. Has no one heard of dimmer switches?" I ask the air in front of me, tears streaming softly down my face as my eyes adjust. I look around and see nothing but a door at the side of this white room, I go to move toward it but my legs are stuck in place. "Please. Wait." A computerized voice calls out. I stand there ridiculously waiting for something to happen. Metal arms reach out and start pulling at my arms making them flop by my side as they are released. I feel an electric current pulse through my legs and then in my head I hear a scream, but it isn't my own. "You. May. Leave." The voice calls out again.
I push open a pair of swing doors walking into a hallway with bright lights streaming along the ceiling. The air is stale down here and it's hard to breath. I begin to gasp reaching for breath. Just a few more steps and there will be fresh air. I tell myself.
I move forward toward a door at the end of the hallway and push it open. I'm greeted by what must be the dining hall. The walls are silver and burn my eyes as the UV lights reflect off them. Long tables face a large plasma screen at the front of the room which elongates across the wall. I notice Eve and Akira and take a seat beside them
