Chapter 3.

We get into a red capsule bus; well that’s what I call them at least because of their appearance and inside seats line the walls in rows of 3, I see Eve and Nadia near the back and go to sit with them when I hear a vicious giggling behind me. I turn around and who else but none other than Alexis and Cameron. Great, just who I wanted to see. Not.

“Yes?” I ask impatiently.

“Gosh freak, don’t go getting your knickers in a twist” Cameron breathes at me. What a waste of oxygen. I walk to the back and plonk down where Nadia gives me a ‘You okay?’ look I nod back and the bus jerks into life and glides away. I look out the window at the blissfully unaware people and how they search through the streets, some are laughing, some running, some even crying, black smudges running down there face as they quarrel with people in front of them. I sometimes wish I was normal and free like them. I wish I didn't have all the fuss like this.

The sky by the shops is laced with pinks and purples as the sun hides behind the clouds. I walk into the cool building and see people rushing by using weird devices, holding hands, playing with their children, talking to themselves, singing, it's different from the bus trip people, these people are more blanked out. It reminds me of a jungle, where different animals are all milling about.

I stand there marvelling at them as a small girl runs infront of me, her hair tyed up in pink bows and a bright green dress flows out around her. "Excuse me miss," she says flashing her bright teeth "I like your hair." She giggles then runs off her pretty dress bouncing up and down as she goes back to her mum. The guardian with us gives me a horribly dirty look but I ignore her. My heart swells at the little girl's adorableness and I smile at her as she tugs on her mum's arm and points to me. The clothes here are made beautifully and I manage to get arm loads of stuff after just being in a few stores, I look down at the garments and truely appreciate how lucky I am even if it means going to war, at least I'm saving freedom for people such as the little girl with the bows.

We head back to school and are allowed the rest of the day off. The girls and I decide to have a fashion parade, prancing about, walking like models.

"Gosh Akira, you are getting so tall someone might mistake you for one of the animals we saw at the zoo!" Eve exclaims.

"Hey!" Shouts Akira back at her in mock hurt. I can't help but giggle at them and suggest the animal Eve was thinking about. "A giraffe?"

"That's the one." Eve grins. "Come on Nadia, we want to see your cat walk style." She says laughing. Nadia jumps from behind a curtain wearing a bright green dress with sequins on it. "Rawr!" She says striking a pose. She freezes like that, then moments later she prances down the runway almost falling hard on her face as she trips on her own legs. We all fall into hysterics and she scrambles up and keeps walking striking a pose at the end and almost falling again as she walks back behind the curtain. Once we are all back into casual clothes Akira suggests we go find the guys.

"Wouldn't you laugh if they were having a fashion show too?" I smile & they all let out evil chuckles, probably imagining them doing the same thing we just did. We find Leo, Sam and Michael at the training hall but not Liam. I look at the archery range, he's not there either. Weird. I get a gut feeling to go to the aquatic centre so that's just where I head.  A strong feeling in my stomach forms as I see him lying flat on the surface shirtless, it digs a deep hole and rests right in the middle giving me a weird sensation of butterflies. It's not like I haven't seen a shirtless boy before, but seeing him feels different. I sit cross legged at the edge of the pool, dip my hand in the water and make a small splash that gives him a huge fright. Oops. He sees me and calms down a bit, swimming over to the edge of the pool where I sit.

" Hey there." I say with a smile. He sends a dazzling one in return.

"You scared me," He says with a laugh.
